  1. At this point the transition to EV is coming regardless of how people feel about it, it is going to be thrive or die for carmakers in the new market.
  2. I prefer to live life on my terms and eat at decent family owned restaurants. Personally, I refuse to throw electrics out the window because as an enthusiast it s one of the few parts of the market doing anything interesting. Pony cars have been around since the sixties...BRZ/FRS isn't that awesome...GTI is a glorified Rabbit....WRX is cool but only so exciting...I like Cadillac styling but have no desire to actually put a Cadillac in my driveway....very little else actually excites me that much of what is built. As far as the Colorado, interesting appearance package/off road package here. At least i have the self awareness to know that my rants about Ford are irrational and a bit hateful. Not sure you have the same level of self awareness.
  3. More true words were never spoken. Even current Hyundai products depreciate in an epic manor.
  4. Hell...I would settle for a cold beer...something dark...a porter or a stout. Good American stuff from a small local brewery somewhere.
  5. Confirmation bias is a really nasty intellectual fallacy that even many intelligent people fall into. We have not really even re established where we were in 1984 when I graduated high school. Too many Americans don't want to buy American and are buying cheap chinese crap. He is entitled to his economic and political opinion just like you are entitled to yours.
  6. The early 70s Fords still had a really good look. My parents had a 71 country squire as a kid.
  7. I really am liking Cadillacs styling direction more and more.
  8. I have started liking the Soul more of late. Glad they are getting the formula right and moving iron. Lord knows the Nissan Cube and the second gen Scion XB left a LOT to be desired.
  9. I have been seeing tons of V cars lately.
  10. ....or a cobalt from Vinton County Ohio with rust repair from nearest available materials.
  11. Could not agree more. Don't like the current administration in the least but like Chinese intellectual property theft even less.
  12. Been a sad week for departures...we lost the legendary race car driver David Pearson...and my old high school friend lost his wife. She was only 51. Obituary did not say what she passed from. My aunt and uncle almost had to evaporate...my brother in laws boyhood home got wiped out.
  13. At least one 68 Fastback Mustang sadly lost forever in all of this. Yes....and to Balthazar's point a guy in Texas lost 150 vintage cars in a wildfire not that long ago.
  14. I think with Ford dropping passenger cars and Chrysler not upgrading the Charger/Challenger/300, and Gm talking about dropping regular passenger car products...and electrics becoming more popular...I would bet 2021 is going to start to see some more radical changes to the automotive market than we are used to.
  15. Sadly the other two big aviation accidents were worse...
  16. I remember that well. The a 340 is also a bird I like. Something about the look of a four engine plane is just classical. I need to get away on a vaccation somewhere. Taking our debate team to illinois this weekend. So far we were quarterfinalists at Lafayette university in PA...won the tournament outright in Clarion...and lost in the final round at ST Anslem. I really like ST. Anslem. Neat university. Was going to try to get togeher with Sixty Eight Panther when I was there last year but it did not work out.
  17. Keep us posted. Love the progress!
