  1. Has it occurred to you that Klingons look rugged also? I thought that it kind of had the look of that series of Truck also. In twenty years, yes.
  2. That is enough to melt my heart of stone! I miss my 66 Mustang.
  3. Does this union remind anyone else of the union Between Sears and K-mart.,..two companies in trouble that ended up feeding off of each others misery?
  4. VW needs to have saleable product to need Fords production capacity. Subaru took over the market for funky cars for hipsterish people over a decade ago and never looked back. Golf sells in Tiny numbers here, huge in Europe. VW already has Puebla and Chattanooga. Their chance of needing more production capacity is dismal. Outside of a very few vehicles, very little is built in Germany for the US market IIRC, UAW is going to soon equal Unknown Auto Workers. More layoffs will follow.
  5. To mainstream buyers, yes. It will have huge appeal. They have design language, just very little of it good. I really like the stinger, but that is Kia product. The new Hyundai design language makes the new Silverado like the a 58 Cadillac Biarritz by comparison. Agree completely. Pilot and Explorer are a very, very low bar to exceed though. Especially the Pilot. Even given my feelings about Ford I would take an Explorer over a Pilot.
  6. Agree on that front.... And rocking like an out of balance washing machine on spin cycle....
  7. How many states have legalized weed and do you live in one of them?
  8. Since I have no need for a fullsize pickup I am living vicariously through you on this one.
  9. They know their market and are focused on it. Which is why I am not worried about the Impala, Focus, Fusion and cruze going away. If Subaru had to worry about the company surviving off of the Legacy....they would be a Legacy company....pun intended. Fewer platforms but better vehicles is the way to go IMHO.
  10. China is actually getting much better in some ways with innovation than we are, which is rather frightening. I don't think Sherrod Borwn, D-Ohio Senate, and Rob Portman, R-Ohio Senate, will save Lordstown with there meeting with Ms Barra. To me, public perception of GM still lags the quality of product, which is going to e the over riding Meta issue here.
  11. I don't think the problem is with the line employees. That is the least of their problems. Being perceived as a legacy brand 20 years after they started building exciting product again by the motoring public is a much larger problem. Can you believe the C5 corvette first went on sale 22 years ago?
  12. Which is why I argue fewer cars and better cars is a good way of thinking for the market. I love Audi....would probably take the right Audi over even a Chevy SS....but Balthazar is right...too many models.
  13. Good thing they are selling SUV's because cars are sucking wind.
  14. Wow...conti off almost 27 percent...
  15. I don't think the problem is with UAW embracing EV's, it is the driving public.
  16. "If you can't say anything nice....don't say anything at all." ....thankfully it is warm here in Ohio in December. About the only nice thing I can say.
  17. I do like the visual packaging on it...it does not need to be a sports car...just a performance vehicle. So let them loose him as a customer. Trying to be everything to everybody all of the time hasn't helped GM. They do not need a car for every buyer...just cars for people willing to pay a reasonable premium for. Economically it makes no sense to be bottom feeders in any market. But especially cars. I for one am curious what Cadillac has in store for us.
  18. On a better note...
  19. Badge engineering at its finest...
  20. It would really be hot. Interested to see how the Edge ST does. Even I am kind of starting to like that a little bit...
