  1. Dull conventional and boring, but some people want an appliance. Kudos to Toyota for being able to profitably build and sell a small car here in the US where GM could not.
  2. I like that they offer a nice variety of packages and options. I can say the same about the Jeep Renegade. The automotive DNA inside of me that makes me like funky small cars makes me like funky small crossovers and SUV's.
  3. Agree with you here. Although I do kind of like both the Blazer and the Aviator. I have been feeling kind of hostile (or extremely hostile, to be honest) about our domestic OEMs...both the Blazer and aviator are a breath of fresh air IMHO. He is indeed free though not to like it for whatever reason. To me, I find the styling on the Blazer a major plus.
  4. Not my thing, but they have done a heck of a nice job with the new variant. Should do well for them.
  5. I am the least shy of anyone here at being critical of Ford...all I can say is....this thing is gorgeous. Could turn me into an SUV enthusiast. A very hearty well done to the blue oval boys. Hell...if I had 70 grand lying around I would buy this thing for you. Painted mirror caps or not...its hot. Quoted for truth.
  6. When a car can initialize puberty in someone just from looking at it...you know it is badass.
  7. Ummmm...no. Looking at this, caption should read..."head explodes..." Condolences would be even more appropriate if he had purchased this pig... I like how they don't show the trucks actual face...someone at Honda finally saw the light!
  8. Agreed. In a decade, hopefully we have full electrics tht will wildly outperform this. A regular outback can be had for 25K....
  9. Ohhhh I think it is entirely rational on Fords part. It's not like they don't have 115 years of production experience. They can switch plants back to cars quickly if the price of gas spikes. Plus, they are building things they want to build. I actually really respect that decision. Plus with upcoming moves to more hybrids and electrics, we may never have a fuel price shock causing people to move back to cars. Had one as a rental this weekend, like it better than the Fusion in terms of appearance. I actually find it sort of attractive. Yep...a plus one to our plus one member.
  10. Methinks you need a newer better vehicle.
  11. Put two new tires, an alignment and a full synthetic oil change into it yesterday. I second this!
  12. Running around in miniature on a Seattle slot car track. Of course, they had that in the sixties... Your mindset changes as you get older IMHO. I feel the exact same way.
  13. One reason the beetle will probably go down the rod at 100K rather than 200K... Don't hold your breath...i like purple but....
  14. Your Jeep should last another decade plus easily. Lots will change by the 2029 model yer. When the Model 3 is available half priced as a 4 year old low mile car, i will probably consider one.
  15. Ohhh eventually we all will. Time frame is the question. More and more people I know are driving them. Couple guys in one of my woodworking club just bought Teslas and love them.
  16. ...and not stopping on the way home during rush hour traffic is a major time save.
  17. The whole thing is designed to work like that. It moves the tax burden to the working classes. Agreed.
