Go M blue indeed...I think you can get through the Cold just fine with a Jeep GC...I often think of wearing a Michigan shirt just because OSU fans ahve become so obnoxious.

Rationally, yes...

Smaller size is an attraction for me, as I live in a large city and find myself parallel parking or parking in small lots on a frequent basis. The Cold seems to randomly destroy the testosterone level of certain Michigan residents in that regard...you could say they even go blue....there is a four letter word that describes that...

Rental or tow a trailer....I like the exterior of the GC much better than the Durango. That being said, i like how I can disagree with Surreal without him feeling like his manhood is threatened...kind of refreshing...

The V8 option is a huge plus, and I am by no means hating on the Durango. Saving that for a worthy target like the current Taurus.

Why did I know it would always come back to the S class being #1...

P and low output Stinger do not sound like a good combination...

...but we could throw a set of tires and shocks on it and get funky.... Something that cannot be said for the x3, XT5, or the other vehicles being discussed. The Lexus, Lincoln and Acura just look like they have had unfortunate intercourse with a tree stump...they come that way from the factory. Eventually, they will find a way to call in Patina and mark it up even more... Would find an M version enjoyable I think.

...and here you and I disagree. I would take this in a minute over the Durango. Would not even be something I would ahve to think about. No one outside of people trying to win an argument on the internet.... Neither the X3 or the Xt5 will see anything worse than a logging road or a dirt path...

Marketing and interior comfort are things I hear from people here in the Midwest also...I think Marketing especially....and that goes for all of GM. How many adverts do you see for say the Cruz diesel?

It would just cannibalize sales from the Golf, actually. Adding models, be they crossovers, trucks, convertibles, or whatever is not always the rational way to build a business.

Not just yes but hell yes.... I could care less....I have absolutely zero interest in Benz....if every Benz factory on the planet shut down tomorrow and never re opened it would not bother me a bit.

Stupidity has no peer like an over confident SUV driver... You have a different life style in Washington than the rest of the country... There is an automotive world outside of 1959-1964....hard to believe, but it is there if one is curious.

I have to go with this...going really off road means your willing to write off some sheet metal or some paint IMHO. I do not see people doing that with this when a 87 Jeep Cherokee works well, has a huge aftermarket and fantastic club support, and costs less than the gap insurance the BMW dealer will try to sell you with the x3. XT5 going off road means driving through the wasteland of urban Detroit when the driver mis sets his GPS trying to find a steak house... ....but in all fairness the closest thing this will see to a trail is picking up mulch and roses at a nursery... The Grand Cherokee is highly capable off road though, one of the reasons I woudl choose it over probably any other SUV over 30K.... Only exception would be if I hit the stupid lotto and buy an F pace...but I would have to play the lottery first... Conformity, conformity, conformity....if I didn't buy an F pace or a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the over 30K SUV realm, I think I would be buying a MINI product...

I like it better than i like the Ford products, or the Durango, or the smaller Benz crossovers, or the Nissan products, or the Honda products...or Lincoln for that matter...or infinity... Maybe not what I would pick...but better than much of the competition. This is not designed for the Rubicon any more than a Subaru Forrester is. It is designed for a white collar person trying to make it through a winter in Duluth, Chicago, or Buffalo.

My Miata would happily drive up on a three inch high rick...with the suspension set up for autocross... Actually like this more than several other SUV's, including the Durango and the Ford lineup...also more than the Pathfinder and the Nissan lineup....

Ohh exactly... And with a battery pack dropping the center of Gravity...a smaller Chevrolet version....would be just killer. I think GM has some good things in store for we who wait....!

I used to own a 55 Chevrolet two door post myself...Honda in their entire history has never built anything like this, nor will they ever. Love that color of Blue BTW....

Actually after doing a bit of research and checking this out, I would have to without any question whatsoever put it above the Fusion Sport and maybe above the 300 as a car I would actually buy. Would also buy this over the Nissan Maxima from the other thread... Sheet metal is much more interesting than the Acura TLX SH-AWD also...

Thankfully, yes...Cadillac is just so much more interesting visually than the Benz or BMW.
