  1. Instead of shaming Cadillac, we should be grateful GM builds the Cascadia and Camaro. Quoted for truth... ...and GM sells the Maibu in top trim for fifteen grand less than a comparable Audi or Lexus. Parts and repair will be much cheaper.
  2. I would be surprised if six percent of the cars were convertibles. Around here in Ohio you can see a parking lot with 350 cars in it and Zero convertibles.
  3. Add box flares and make it look like an eighties rally car...
  4. I had the same issue...it came back...things ebb and flow.
  5. The voice of rational thinking and reason rises from the dead. Welcome back, I missed having you around. So Cadillac should follow Subaru and define itself by crossovers...so much for standard of the world and leading.
  6. Dude...how the efff are you going to pay for R and D, development, inventory, advertising and the like? GM is already sitting on a crap ton of cars it cannot sell...
  7. Love your garage, Frisky! The Lexus is a solid choice, you know how I feel about the R... And the Cayman is one of my favorite vehicles on the planet. The Audi would be a bit much for me to drive though...love the thought!
  8. I would love a modern version of the MRS-Spyder or the MR2.
  9. Toyota is thinking about bringing up a hotted up Yaris...my buddy with the Fiesta ST wants to trade the Fiesta for this if it comes... http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-shows/geneva-auto-show/news/a32860/the-supercharged-toyota-yaris-grmn-looks-like-an-adorable-hoot/
  10. As the proud owner of a fifteen year old MINI Cooper S and a VW Beetle it's not often I get to look down on other vehicles with a smug sense of superiority...but given the Benz in the OP....I now have at least one...
  11. They are both fine looking cars in their own way....but I still prefer the GTI. But in terms of actual cars, I think I may well end up with a rear wheel drive BRZ or Miata to replace the cooper in a couple of years.
  12. Vehicle -#1 is obviously Miata... Vehicle #2 would be a Golf R with every APR tune and every other modification i could throw at it and still keep the car somewhat drivable. Vehicle #3 would be a full size GMC dually with every performance upgrade I could throw at it and keep it street driveable...tow vehicle... Vehicle #4 would be a BMW M2 built as a track car...full cage, gutted interior.... https://gts.nasaseries.com/ This is the series I would be running it in... Vehicle #5 is a fully enclosed trailer to go behind the GMC Dually...with a customized sleeping quarters and work bench for my weekends at the track...radically customized to make it jsut what I want on the inside...
  13. You are not the only fan...I am a huge fan myself.
  14. The widely followed J.D. Power 2017 U.S. Initial Quality Study was released recently. Among the 33 brands measured, Volvo ranked 31st. It is a stinging rebuke for a company that is trying to position itself as a luxury alternative to BMW, Mercedes, Lexus and Audi. Volvo really cannot be positioned as a turnaround, even if its quality ratings were strong. Its sales through the first five months of the year were down 4.5% to 26,802. At the current rate, it sells only 6,000 cars a month in the United States. Most of its sales come from three models. About 20% are the S60 mid-priced sedan, nearly 30% are the XC60 sport utility vehicle and 35% are the new XC90. The XC90 is a luxury SUV with a starting price of $45,750, which can rise well over $100,000 for the “Excellence” model. Perhaps Volvo should not keep the excellence badge for just one model. Volvo’s dealer network, marketing budget and small model lineup cannot possibly keep up with juggernauts like BMW and Mercedes. Each has model lineups that are many times Volvo’s. Each has been among the modest widely regarded, high-quality auto brands in the United States. Initial quality in this iconic study was measured by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles during the first 90 days of ownership, with a lower score reflecting higher quality. In this year’s study, quality improved across seven of the eight categories measured, with 27 of the 33 brands in the study improving their quality compared with 2016. http://247wallst.com/autos/2017/06/2...uality-rating/ Keep building crap cars in China and see how that works out for you, boys....!
  15. As soon as I don't have to worry about trading it back in for an ark full of animals...raining like hell here in Ohio... And yes, Biker was a complete idiot...
  16. Actually up voting this as this is what I want, actual automotive content, thank you. Cool that Benz builds this....at the same time for serious off roading one can modify a much cheaper vehicle for much less than the Benz I would presume. ...and word on the street is a lot of people with money who bought these (Fiesta ST) were expecting much better automobiles. The gentleman in the profile pic with me owns an orange one...he is selling it as soon as it goes out of warranty due to the number of other Fiesta ST owners he knows who are having major issues with their cars.
  17. ...and if that is your thing....the Grand Cherokee has the Mercedes products beat at a price point they can't dream of touching in their wildest wet dream.
  18. We are all three car guys...we need three GMC Savannah vans with wheel chair lifts, and a grey haired woman in a mini skirt with a flash light to start us on the ultimate drag race....first guy to the Cafeteria gets to save a table for the other two for the 4:30 dinner time. I don't even want to get started with the shuffleboard thing that comes afterwards...
  19. The past is the past...the imperfect past is real, the perfect past is not...I will gladly accept the imperfect past of Cadillac...they ahve been building awesome cars for a very long time and I like their current lineup.
  20. Good to ahve you back in the buckeye state...
