  1. Camino...was that 68 442 RED with black stripes? I know you live in PA and I live in Ohio...but I saw a 68 442 also. Chris
  2. ...oh...and I want to see GM get through this and go back to being a privately owned company. I am not for GM being owned by the government forever. ...and yes I believe government has their limitations, and no I never thought you said that all government was bad, gm4life. We can disagree about religion and politics...but thankfully we both love GM. Chris
  3. You were NOT the person I was thinking of...and your an Idiot if you thought that I thought you were an Idiot. Back to the debate, my friends. Chris
  4. If your going to turn into someone like Sixty-Eight, my sawzall will be attacking that nice pretty Impala soon to be sitting in your driveway to take out the B post thingie.... Seriously...as far as the government goes...If I had that Impala...I would take it to lunch with friends, where the employees at the resteraunt would be educated in government run schools. I would drive it on government owned highways, and enjoy a vaccation in a government provided national park. I would use government police to keep it safe, and government prisons to lock up anyone who tried to steal it or hurt me while I was driving it. The government does a lot of good things. My wife works for a local community college, and they help a lot of people get their lives on track. I'm all for the government saving GM, as I think GM is worth saving. Chris
  5. Then you won't be offended if the Cobalt SS generates more than a little automotive lust in me? We're all still GM guys in one way or another. Glad you've got an open mind, Drew. Also glad that unlike other posters your mind hasn't fallen out on the pavement. Chris
  6. Sorry to hear about your bad luck...but this is your model plane, right DF? Chris
  7. Non Political thread...but here's my two cents...while I hate Reagan, I damn sure enjoyed riding around in my buddy Shawn's brand new 84 TA with the T-tops out when Reagan was president. Not everything about the 80's was bad.... But the thread was over with the first pic in the first post. The Hurst Cutty is one of the coolest cars GM ever built. Everything else so far in this thread is just a foot note... Now if we had a 55 Bel Air or a 65 GTO pic...that might be a different story. Chris
  8. Too bad we don't have a time machine so your family could enjoy the cool impalas of the 60's and 70's. Lots of families were Impala familes when I was a kid...thinking about how much we've lost makes me sad. I still want a 72-75 Impala ragtop I think... Chris
  9. I could see buick...if you had, again, a parts car as a "stand in" a 1950's buick would be great...esp. if you did your screenplay in black and white like the movie Sin City or something. Next...
  10. It looks good in silver though...would make a nice "matched pair" with the wagon. Chris
  11. Lived in Atlanta, it is both awesome and a great place to live. Chris
  12. Camry Hybrid would be an interesting car for an anti hero. Perhaps someone wanting to end the human race for the good of the planet and they drive a Hybrid... Hmm...plot possibilities are interesting. Tundra= too ugly to die. Any more thoughts? Chris
  13. ...and please, no one reply Camry. Your really lame if the guy who wants to end the world in your movie drives a Camry. Chris
  14. Here is the question-you are producing a big bucks Hollywood movie with a script you've written. The villan/anti-hero dies at the end in a brutal car wreck that ends his (or her) life and the life of the car in a spectacular fashion. What would be a great, sinister car to blow up? Here are my thoughts- 1. Modern Porsche (cayman perhaps) painted black. 2. Suicide door moredoor lincoln from the 1960's, again, black. Would hate to destroy a vintage car, but we could use a Parts car as a stand in. Great anti hero car, suprised it hasen't been used more. 3. What else? 69 Charger R/T. Every other 69 Charger ever made has been destroyed in movies-TV, why not another. 4. I'm going to get flamed for this but...new Camaro. Sinister enough for the sonofabitch who wants to end the world as we know it. Again..black please. 5. Along the lines of Camaro...(new) Challenger would make a great car for a sinister charactor to drive in a movie. What else would be a good, sinister, in charactor car for a bad guy to drive/chase/die in? Your thoughts, please. Chris
  15. Boxster S is very affordable...one of my sons friends dad has one... I wonder how one would do at the local autocross? Chris
  16. The Challenger is really growing on me as well. Hopefully they keep it in production for awhile... Chris
  17. What would be cool for you is a 68-72 Lemans. Affordable, Pontiac, available, good looking, good driving, parts available... Think about it my friend. ...and I hope you have better luck in the partner department soon. Chris
  18. I'd actually like to see it (new Camaro) in white...I love white cars. (off topic) Maybe they'll even have racing series for the new Camaro like they do the Mustang...wouldn't that be sweet...Hmmm...35 white Camaros rubbing paint and running full throttle around Mid Ohio, Laguna Seca, Road Atlanta, Road America, Daytona, et al. (on topic) Glad the Camaro is providing jobs for people. Chris
  19. Sooo glad you got it...and your son is going to love it! What a great practical car for a young man...nice, safe fuel efficient ride to haul your friends on a two hour one way road trip to a ball game. I hope he takes good care of it. Chris
  20. ...and 2015 sounds like a nice round number. HMMM...GM...the performance years at Chevy. Start-Small block, great bodystyle 1955 End-Special Camaro, 2015, 60 years later.
  21. ...Any color so long as it's Tan or Maroon, right GM4life? I really hope you get one. Your enough of a GM guy that IMHO you "deserve" to enjoy one. Chris
  22. Agreed, it's a damn fine car and I'm thinking one might be in my future... Parked next to a black SS/TC sedan at lunch yesterday... Chris
  23. ...that generation of Blazer is just tits for running around in the summer and having a little bit O' fun in the mud... Chris
