  1. I want a modern equivalent to an A-Body too... except it's not the A-Body you're thinking about Just Messing.
  2. I promised myself that I will buy a new car to replace the Cavalier in spring 2012.... That being said; we'll see then how the EPII Regal suits me... and if it's not my cuppa... Well than I'll look at the Impala if it's still FWD... failing that The Taurus would be my fallback. Failing the Existence of Taurus, a gently used Cadillac CTS might be in order.
  3. Some sort of retro Studebaker with 1993 Grand Prix grille pieces??
  4. Sometimes I wonder the same thing... The only GMs that REALLY appeal to me are the Buick Lucerne (but only with the chrome wheels, floor shift, and black grille) Buick Allure (but now not as much b/c of the ass ugly new front fascia, preferred the old one) Cadillac CTS Cadillac DTS (w/column shift) Cadillac SRX Chevrolet Malibu Chevrolet Equinox Chevrolet Impala (w. Spoiler, floor shift, and alloys) GMC Acadia Saab 9-5 Sedan Saab 9-3 Convertible Saturn Aura It's not just GM though... there are few other cars that appeal to me at all save for the new Taurus, MKX, Taurus X, MKS ^^I guess to an extent I'm really GM Loyal: A) Because it's been a family tradition B) Largely because of the past GM Vehicles I've really loved which include Dustbuster U-Bodies 88, 98, LeSabre, Bonneville, Park Avenue, Riviera and Aurora G/H Bodies Regal, Century, 1st Gen Impala and Intrigue W-Bodies Alero N-Body Roadmaster and Custom Cruiser B-Bodies Last Gen. Fleetwood
  5. 1.09 almost.. Oh Yeah! Party like it's 1877!
  6. CTS, Acadia, Aura, Malibu
  7. Nothings's really changed since the spring... if anything the out of control real estate market is slowly stabilizing... which is good.
  8. More correctly Airliners.net... but they're great for good wide aspect pictures with flair for desktops...
  9. Switched things up a bit.
  10. Definately a weirdo. Unbalanced? Possibly. Suspicious? Definately. You've gotta have your wits about you with these people... he could have been innocent as a toddler, or he might not. If I were you I'd make sure your MCs are safe under lock and key tonight. If there's one thing that my dad has passed on to me from his near 3 decades in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police... it was to always question and be suspicious. Your story reminds me of a well notable murder case in Calgary a few years back that went down 5 doors down from my grandparents where the killers tried to befriend the victim sorta like that at a Safeway and later followed him home and strangled him. Am I saying this guy had sinister intentions - not really, but he had a reason that he talked to you for so long before going into the building like he had nothing better to do.
  11. Whoa! Quadruple Post. Server Error really got you.
  12. Not to mention that most cars by that point had a remote trunk release on the key fob... which is right bloody in front of you most of the time you would need to pop the trunk... It is quirky though!
  13. A 3800 has a very small chance of being a money pit... They are very reliable and there are many 3800 cars on this board alone with more than 200K miles with their original headgaskets and trannys. The one thing you need to watch is the upper intake manifold gasket... When it comes to the W-Bodies, the Intrigue was the most well executed IMO... That Intrigue would serve you VERY well. The full Carfax report is here (the person who took out the ad must have paid for a free Carfax report for people who saw the ads) http://www.carfax.com/cfm/FSBO.cfm?report=...D7ACA6E09CB5DFC
  14. They started selling it here in 1998... although there used to be someone with a Grey-Market 1995 that he imported from the US in my neighbourhood (it was the same colour as our 1994 Trans Sport).

  16. Thanks 98... Your post gave me hope that there's a low mileage 3800 Pontiac Trans Sport or 3800 Lumina APV LS of the 1994-1995 Vintage out there for me as a project car (The Silhouette sadly wasn't sold in Canada during the first generation). Some day. Some day.
  17. I personally loved the original LaCrosse grille... I say keep the grille as it is on the 2008s on the CXL, CXS, Black grille as per 2007s but a bit bigger on the CX, and a blacked out mesh design on the Super... That'll turn some heads!
  18. The other American sourced parts on a Nissan/Datsun was the Power Steering Pump on the 1st Gen Maxima I believe...
  19. Found this one on EBay for 41$.... It says 60 day warranty, no codes required as Theftlock is deactivated and the unit is fully tested.... Would something like this be a safe idea all things being considered Dave?? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Monte-Carlo...sspagenameZWDVW
  20. I'm kind of wary to get anything painted by fear it might not perfectly match the car... I'll just keep looking until I find my colour methinks.
  21. I'm looking for a few things for the Cavalier to correct some of my frustrations with the car... First of All I'm looking for a Delco Electronics AM/FM/CD Stereo w/Theftlock that would fit the 1995-1999 Cavalier to replace the current unit, a Cassette unit: What would be the best place to get one? Junkyard? Ebay? I know that if I watch my prices I could get one on Ebay for about 50-70$ USD (46-65$ CDN) I know the dealer would rape me on the price, but if I went to a junkyard with a screwdriver and found a Cavalier, Malibu, Lumina, Camaro, or Venture with one, what would would you say is a fair price for one? Also... I think I may get a new rear bumper cover for the car at the same time because of the damage to the corner... how much would you expect to pay for a rear bumper cover off a Dahlia Blue Cavalier on a junkyard given it's not damaged? I know Dodgefan's had luck with the junkyard in getting cheap parts for his cars, but I'm pretty new to the idea and could use some pointers.

  23. Sorry to hear about your troubles... I'm sure if you're selling when you get your car fixed there are plenty on this board who think the inverse about the Cutlass who'd be willing to buy.
  24. I haven't done it but our priest does it yearly... usually leaves 5 pages of pledge forms in the atrium so people feel obligated to fill them out so the pages get filled.
