  1. No, but there's a Chinese character in Toronto, and he drives a nice looking Pontiac! :AH-HA_wink:
  2. CB, it's called exaggeration for (supposed) comedic effect. I guess it's not woikin', cuz you ain't laughin'! Besides, our boy reg has me beat in that category, at least I think so. :AH-HA_wink:
  3. I'd like to see this one, it looks funny. Will is a doofus, he's hilarious.
  4. *shudder* *shudder* Erector Set (does anyone remember those?)
  5. It certainly is. Aveo5 for '07 is stale. They need a 3 door hatch bodystyle in addition to the 5. They need a diesel engine option, and they need a sport variant. Also, the Aveo is barely more fuel efficient than a Cobalt... why bother, unless you can stick an efficient, powerful little motor in the thing? A small car makes sense for certain buyers. The Corsa would be able to snag some buyers who want it, not only those who need it, due to its very attractive design.
  6. Yeah, GM Media is lagging. I went to the Chevrolet website to check out the gallery on the '07 Colorado. The interior pictures show no evidence of changes as listed in Monsieur Fly's thread, they're last year's pictures. Potential customers want to see what's new, not what's old. Dumb.
  7. Well, most of you guys know my first name, it's been posted enough recently, and it's been defined in this thread as meaning "protector". My last name is a variation on the German word for white. The spelling was changed upon emigration so it was more easily pronounced here. Does anyone else know if their family name was changed when their ancestors moved here?

    Pictures!

Lakie, what the heck are you smuggling in your shorts? Did they check you at the airport?
  9. Thanks for letting me know what you've heard about the Flowmaster brand. Glad to hear you're planning to open up the intake and exhaust, which can make the car more economical as well as more powerful, hopefully. How are the narrow chome moldings up near the beltline holding up? When I worked at a Cadillac dealership, we had to order several sets under warranty for customers because the chrome plating bubbled. I am hoping they changed the design to better withstand time and keep their finish. Not sure if the moldings are still available from GMSPO.
  10. I understand the 900 pickups were brought forward, so I won't complain about the Colorado going into its fourth model year with no exterior changes to speak of, but I hope 2008 sees some exterior freshening. With more power, and (hopefully) appreciable interior upgrades, the small Chevy truck may be my choice after all for 2007. I haven't seen a 900 pickup in the bodystyle I like, plus who knows how much they're gonna cost. My truck is running fine, as it should after only 2 1/2 years and 38k miles, but I have this subliminal itch for something new.
  11. That is a very hot car. I vote for Flowmasters as your next mod. The coolness of an unfettered LT1 as it gobbles up everything in its path would bring tears of joy to my eyes.
  12. Holy tierod ends, Batman, the one time when I am not trying to ram a double entendre into an otherwise completely innocent conversation, you guys jump on it like a bicycle with no seat and riiiide. :AH-HA_wink:
  13. portable boyfriend?
  14. "Help! I'm stuck to the toilet seat!" (everyone runs out of the restroom) (sound of crickets) "Help! I'm stuck to the toilet seat!" Imagine having an audio tape of the wankathon... "Oh my God!" "AHHHH!!!" "Oh $h!, here it comes!" "I need goggles!" "Will someone please wipe down the ceiling?"
  15. Requirements to join the Unicycle Mafia: rainbow afro wig big red rubber nose whiteface makeup size 37 shoes a unicycle Who's in? :AH-HA_wink:
  16. Yup, dave, I was purged at the worst time of year for bodyshops, it's usually slow in the summer time and places aren't hiring. Lucky for me, a former coworker who is the assistant manager at my new location put in a good word (along with a few insurance reps), and I was basically hired on the same day I left my last job. That was a major relief. If I were you, I'd keep my eyes open for opportunities now, don't wait for the axe to fall like I did. People are dropping like flies at my old shop, they're cleaning house, and we all had a feeling it would happen. Some of us (including me) thought we were immune, haha. No. Good luck to you and your wife, sir.
  17. I'm xtremely interested in seeing the interior changes on the Colorado, along with the Ebony color choice.

  21. ...been practicing on a frozen hotdog? :AH-HA_wink:
  22. I saw a yellow one at a dealer upstate when I went to the campground last time. Still none here in town at the local BPG store...
  23. The contour on the tailgate makes it stronger than a flat tailgate... and will also make it sound better when it is slammed shut... a flat panel would sound hollow, the contour resists resonating more and makes the gate close with a "thunk" rather than a "clang".
  24. Oh Hell yeah... those muthas is bad! Love 'em both. GM's HD pickups in the past could be described as, well, not as serious looking as Ram and Super Duty... but these new ones blow them completely out of the running. Pure, burly sex machines these new trucks are.
