So now we are being encouraged to drop everything and partake in some Greek love.

A 50-state standard is best for everyone. We all want clean air, but fuel mileage is a whole nother ballgame. People want capable, larger vehicles.

Chevrolet News:2019 Chevrolet Cruze, Malibu, and Spark Get New Faces
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
I think the updates look good. Good to see them checking their own freshness dates. Not a fan of CVT after owning one and driving two others fairly often. -
Calling people idiots and morons does not elevate you to genius status, David. The previous administration rushed these unrealistic standards through at the eleventh hour, knowing full well the ramifications. And the day of reckoning has come. A rollback is simply common sense. It allows car makers to sell what people want to spend money on. Any business that does not give the customer what they want will eventually die. If someone wants a Volt or Bolt and does not mind being tethered to the cord, let them have it. If someone wants a Suburban with 6.2L of manly power, let them have it. Since Drew has let this post of yours stand and has taken down my post condemning your personal attack on me and millions of others, I will keep posting in my defense until more people can see my point of view here. I am sure this will not be here the next time I check this board, but hopefully the censors here will be asleep long enough so that somebody sees this.

Ford Edge looks just as sporty as the bulbous Europeans posted here. It is actually sharper, Benz and Break My Wallet look like something you wouldn't want to pick up off the communal shower floor.

I like the idea of the Ford Edge because it is relatively large with two-row seating and sporty looks. I think it looks more mature and masculine than the Nissan Murano, a direct competitor.

I think "neutral density" taillights went out of style before Lexus stopped using them on the U.S. version of the Toyota Altezza. But I see where the base and super luxury versions of the XT4 use red taillights. Much nicer. I think the Sport maybe should have gone with a dark lens... not a clear one.

After totaling my 2011 Fiesta in August of 2011, I swore at that time I would never buy another car that small. But the Chevy Sonic feels so much more solid and secure, I would bend that vow.

Just to let you hooligans know... Toyota is putting a camera mirror in the 2019 RAV4 Limited... the very same tech we ooh and aaah over very recently in the most expensive Cadillacs.

The Sonic is the nicest car in its class. It has a lot of heart, character and style. And it rides quieter than a lot of its competitors. Over onto the social media, whenever Chevy posts a promotional photo of the Sonic, ppl cry that it has lost some of its mojo with the MCE. This could also be a reason for its sales decline. I really like the new look of the car, but I guess I'm in the minority. I have this feeling that GM purposely sabotaged the car with the MCE knowing there would be an outcry from the faithful. They want to sell more Trax at a higher price... but they needed to "build out" more Sonics to get their money out of the tooling... so they "wounded" it. Mortally. But its death had to be eventual, not immediate. Now if only the dowdy Trax had anywhere near the fun spirit of the Sonic... a replacement for the Trax cannot come soon enough. And it needs to be good.

You weens can have the XSE Hybrid on the left, I will take the Adventure, in that color on the right, with the Mocha Softex interior. Cool!

Hallelujah, it is about time cold hard reality sets in where government involvement is concerned. Also I fully and robustly support curbing California. Bunch of loons out there far removed from normalcy. A 50-state standard is best for the country. No one can regulate hearts, minds, desires. I say if you have the money... SPEND IT HOW YOU WISH. Is that a radical idear in 2018?

Highly inappropriate comment, being as it is my birthday and all. I actually saw one in a grocery store parking lot last week. 8mm I think.

Well, first impressions have come and gone, and my opinion has softened on this little buggy. It could be cool I guess. As far as I can tell, Cadillac's colourizer tool features the base model, with base wheels. It's a bit meh as portrayed in CGI, but the higher trims might be hotter looking. The XC40 looks like an athletic shoe, where the XT4... something sensible with a low heel.
