GM is doing the same thing to their new midsize trucks that they did to every other generation before them... letting them grow stale. We are in the fourth model year of zero design changes, in a segment that needs help regaining and maintaining its former position. Here's hoping they spend a little money to refresh these trucks for the 2019 model year. I think the Duramax should be available on all cabs and trim levels. It would be great for fleets, for example. And why is it available on ZR2 extended cabs but no other extended cab? The Tacoma, if you look at it, is a very old-school truck in body proportion, with low bed sides and a high cab floor, putting the driver "legs out" instead of at chair height. It is more like the mini-trucks of old in that way... but look at those sales... DOUBLE that of Colorado. And I have to hand it to them, they're doing it with very little tangible benefit over the GM twins. Those of you who've been around here know I waited with baited breath for the new Colorado, and ordered one in December 2014. It was a very good truck for me, but to be honest, I was never comfortable in it. The seat constantly dug into my left leg, and the traditional GM truck offset steering column, meant to ease ingress-egress (and finally done away with on the 2019 Silverado/Sierra), really put me in a weird position when driving. OK sorry... I do agree with all of the suggestions so far. As far as the Cruze, I've noticed on my local lot (admittedly a tiny sample of reality) that when the new style first came out, they were all about the manual transmission, high trim level cars... same when the hatch first appeared... now in the last year or so, all they stock is base model automatics, in sedan and hatch... barely any jazzy RS models to be found, and ZERO manuals. The Cherokee came on the scene with a unique face and it gained attention, but it has clearly fallen off after spending time in daylight. The refresh helps it, both front and rear. The interior needed little change and I'm glad they didn't alter it too much. The CT6 is only now receiving the look and presence it needed from the very beginning... and the new V8? It should have been there from DAY ONE. Was a near fatal flaw not offering an eight cylinder.

Balthy, doing his detective thing. Yes it seems like a riff on the Chevy/Olds Rally/Super Stock steel sport wheel. Pontiac had their Rally II steel sport wheel, which, to me, is the most iconic of its type. All with accoutrements. I've never seen the Buick version, but it is clearly different from her siblings. The red convertible in Balthy's link appears to have a charcoal metallic finish. Maybe the color keyed version was some sort of "Spring Special Edition" or a regional package on the Skylark?

I sawr this today at another site during my lunch break. Easily the best looking Corolla since WAY BACK when. That Sport model with a stick blows the Cruze hatch into the weeds. I'd drive it.

The people who bought Continentals new in the past have a good chance of being 6 feet under. Well before this new one, they stopped selling the Continental in 2002, so sixteen years ago. Some of those people may continue to survive.

Shockingly effective transformation of the CT6. Fine looking engine, nice stats. Good looking, authoritative front end. Interior looks top notch. Don't like the taillight morph. Needs to remain fully vertical.

I much prefer a 2-row CUV/SUV whatnot if the proposed third row is not genuinely accommodating. But right now I am more interested in seeing Volkswagen's U.S. substitute for the T-Roc. In green with a white roof, brown leatherette, a TDi and a stick with AWD. But I like the 2019 Ford Edge too.

At this particular juncture, I have no complaints about my Jeepiat. The stick is such a redeemer... of any vehicle, but the little Jeep, modest in power as it is, really shines with the manual, imo. A "Mojito!" (green) Wrangler Sport S 2-door with black hardtop, the stick, dark wheels and cold weather package (comes with meaty tires) could be the ticket... but alas, two-door Wranglers are not available for perusal yet. I like what they've done with it.

Hello to the group. My name is ocn, and I'm a car-aholic. Today I spent the afternoon cruising the lots looking at new vehicles, it was a decent pre-spring day. I stopped at Ford, and sawr a stunning Crimson Mustang GT, a bitchin' orange Fiesta ST, a few sweet F-150 XL regular cabs... a honkin' white F-250 regular cab 4X4, and a blue Ecosport SES. I went to Dodge and Jeep and sawr some nice Ram 1500's (old style) and new Wranglers (EXPENSIVE!). I cruised the Toyota lot and did not see any extended cab Tacomas. Honda and Buick-GMC yielded a real nice trio of Regals (2 Sportbacks in red and blue and a white Tourx), odd new Terrains (that are growing on me), a Berry Encore with Brandy leather (sharp) some CR-Vs in a gorgeous Olive Pearl color, and a bunch of Fit Sport manuals. Chevy has a blue Volt LT for $36k, three Sonic hatches (one in a neat Ivy Metallic color... but without turbo engine) and a LONG line of Colorados that have not changed or depleted in months (are ppl waiting to see the new Ranger?). Then I came home and went off on a tangent... Hyundai Kona Limited in Lime with black leather/lime accent interior. We currently have 5 or 6 Konas where I work, but none of them are an interesting color... although the gray with black/lime accent leather could be cool... and I learned facts... Kona has more space inside than CX-3, even though it is shorter in length... plus an available 175-hp engine. I was in a dream state everywhere I looked. I am certain if I won the Powerball, I'd spend all of it on cars... after I pay off my house and complete some remodeling projects, and help my famiry pay off their debts.
