  1. What happened with the six cylinder one?
  2. I'm sure we all agree that we're glad no one was hurt.
  3. Would make a fine Buick, based on GM's current definition of the brand. It is a pretty car, and the taillights on it look at least mildly annoyed, if not outright angry like on the Verano. I like those angry taillights because they're unique, and call back the front of the '59 and the rear of the '59 and '60 Buicks.
  4. Well they've already learned that people don't want electric cars, so what exactly is the point except to cut losses on Voltec?
  5. ...you mean THIS Cascadia convertible?
  6. Panda 4X4: what a beast!
  7. I'm all broken up over this latest setback.
  8. Did they incorrectly diagnose the problem though? Were they ignorant of what parts were covered under the warranty? Or were they being shady, trying to get the customer to pay retail for something they would get paid wholesale from GM if they submitted the repair under warranty?
  9. Note to retired GM ad executives: just say NO to drugs. Very trippy, like a Dali painting. Very odd statement at the end: "your Chevrolet dealer is waiting to TAKE YOUR ORDER"... wow. Today, it's "take what we have on the lot or get the hell out of here."
  10. In pure white accordance with C&G law, I bequeatheth you a Happy Birthday, Mr. Jacket.
  11. GMTG, if you remember back in the DAY, Josh posted a "scoop" about the Outlook, claiming a last-minute decision by GM to not bring it out. That's what I was referring to.
  12. The RS is just going into production, so they haven't hit the lots yet. I feel yer pain, I am itching to see one, too. Also, I think residual values can be found on the web, although I am not sure if those sites can offer an honest figure for the Sonic as it just came out for 2012. The car is generally seen as the best in its class, but I am not sure how that will translate, as far as resale. I wonder if KBB or Edmunds has prices up for used examples in your neighborhood... My secret is to put a hefty downpayment on the car you want, to try to avoid being upside down in value.
  13. I have never heard of a rental having to be of the same manufacture as the customer's vehicle. A rental is a rental, it's not a loaner. Unless it's a Canada thing.
  14. Well, a clean interior is generally a clue. This truck was likely taken care of. Buy it!
  15. The interior on the little half-ton is clean as a whistle, if the photos aren't committing perjury.
  16. Make sure it has good door hinge pins and bushings, too. Those brass bushings are pretty soft. I hate to see a GM truck of this vintage with saggy doors because people don't pay attention and eventually ruin their doors.
  17. Sweet car, Homes.
  18. Well, the ones I've seen that were hit in the back have a different misalignment problem than what is apparent in the photo, usually the top front edge of the bed hits the cab and then the gap stays tight at the top between cab/bed and wide at the bottom. From the photo, it appears the bed might be level and the cab is down at the back. Now that you mention it, I think you're right about that shared cab/front bed mount. I'd need to see it in person or at least in full profile on level ground in a photo before guessing further. At work we have an 800 2500 ext cab 4X4 with a wheel hoist on the back, used as a lot truck to haul wrecks around mostly. Those guys have abused the heck out of it and it is bent in the middle in the opposite direction... bed tight to the cab at the bottom, wide at top. Not awful, but just enough to notice. EDIT: after looking at the single photo once again, and if you say there are no visible rust issues on the frame or cab/bed mounts, it might just be a bit of bending from heavy snow that otherwise hasn't hurt anything as long as the driveline isn't stressed from some geometrical issue related to the misalignment. That 4.3 is a workhorse that can take a good bit of stress, imo. I think you're right, this is your best bet so far, Camino.
  19. http://cgi.buick.com...true&country=US Cool, a link works!
  20. For me, the Terrain is the better looking sibling v. the Equinox. I also like the Trax and wish it were coming here to the USA. The Encore, as has been stated and which is the proper topic in this thread, is somewhat of a pioneer in that there is nothing else like it on the market. That will allow it to build stremf pretty quickly, as the Verano has done over the last several munts. I do believe it will sell well. EDIT: I've been crying over colors for no reason. The Build & Price site is up, complete with visualizations of all the available color combinations. Mine is going to be Brilliant Blue with the 5-spoke rims... not too girly in that color, with those rims. Sweet little monkey in a suit! I wish I could figure out how to post "my" Encore here in the thread. Any helpers? I've put it as my desktop background.
  21. Well it would mean a nice boost in real-world fuel economy across the country for every gas-powered vehicle being driven/reality. Which means we can repeal these ignorant CAFE standards/dream.
  22. Shame some bozo dented the rear bumper...
  23. $21,845 for a 2013 Sonic RS manual with sunroof. Truly, by far, the nicest GM car in this size class ever built.
