  1. Rainy, bitter cold (only 62!) day, but active nonetheless... '67 Malibu SS coupe, beautiful non-factory metallic blue colour, rollin' on what appeared to be 18 inch chrome bling rims... sounded healthy, piloted by a young Latin guy. 2 '67-'72 C-10 pickups in separate sightings. One greenish gold with white roof (it'd be cool to bring that option back) a bit rough around the edges, the other green with white roof, hauling a small steam engine in the bed. Similar to a Rock...
  2. Sounds like the sales manager at "Fisker Santa Monica" is getting a case of the vapors over this. Keep waiting, buddy!
  3. 12 days and 473.6 miles later, I refilled the tank. I put in 12.85 gallons of gasoline. Doing the math, it runs out to 36.85 MPG. The first 186.4 miles were my highway trip back from the beach, the rest were driven slogging back and forth to work in urban stop-n-go. I'm happy with that. The DIC indicated 38.9 MPG and 26.9 average MPH... seems as though the DIC is optimistic on this car. I've reset this screen once again (trip meter, average MPG and average MPH), and I'll post my results again when it comes time.
  4. Does GM build their own full-size cargo vans in Europe, or are they in a joint venture with somebody else? The Ford Transit is a better looking van than this by a long shot, and I believe that at the very least, the small business owner will tilt toward the better looking van to represent themselves to their customers. Now is when GM needs their small Duramax engine to put into the Express/Savana as an answer to these thrifty Euro vans... at least as a stopgap until they can get on the bandwagon.
  5. Camaro LT/RS. Cruze manual.
  6. dearly
  7. A born beauty. Blue Ribbon.
  8. I hear it a lot in my business. There is a huge, real mental block that comes up after an accident regarding the repaired vehicle. I certainly don't blame you as I think it's normal. Good luck finding a suitable replacement.
  9. I'd love to see all three American automakers really bring out the pizazz this season... I agree it's been dullsville the last few yerrs. And I'm going to harp in this thread about more bodystyle variations off existing sedans, too, I agree with z... Regal and Malibu coupes... Cruze and Verano coupes... Delta and Gamma CUVs in addition to other variants... XTS in production form. ATS in near-production "concept". GM compact truck for the USA...
  10. Black '69 Coronet 2-door. Painted with what appeared to be spray cans. With a broke-ass bumblebee stripe with a generic bumblebee on it. Pep Boys chrome on a roll on the edge of every panel. Pep Boys "wire" wheel covers with red plastic disc background pieces. A drag-ass stance. A CB antenna, and body-color bumpers.
  11. Jacket, I'm sorry I missed your question about the fender, but it seems you've got bigger worries now with the 4.0. Let us know if you're going to swap in another 4.0. BTW, I think a PDR guy could make that fender look a lot better (not perfect, mind you) for less than $150, which is cheaper than conventional body repair and painting would be.
  12. I think my Fiesta had WAY more room in the load area. This is a joke as a hauler. And sticking stuff on the roof will make it even more useless as a travel vehicle because it will sap range. Junk. And this load of BS: Henrik Fisker, comments; "The BMW engine was an obvious choice for us, as BMW is known for producing the best and most fuel efficient gasoline engines in the world. We are very pleased to have signed this agreement with BMW." Since when has BMW been known for fuel economy? Can anyone answer that one truthfully?
  13. I really like this, and I hope Subaru USA gets to sell it here.
  14. Black Fiesta SE Sport sedan... with Pep Boys chrome edging every panel, and a giant red SALEEN vinyl sticker across the full width of the rear bumper.
  15. Front end kind of reminds me of a Datsun Xterra.

    Going Up?

I'm guessing you won't be making Up yours, then.
  17. I choose to take this as an indicator of what's to come for Chrysler's Fiat-underpinned US vehicles. And I'm encouraged. This looks nothing like a Grand Cherokee or Durango.
  18. I would say that's fair in the condition it's in. I would NOT give it to that mechanic... he will fix it and flip it, he's counting on your coworker to not do research. $800 is a nice boost to a downpayment on something new.

    Going Up?

Check out these cheeky little monkeys. Kewl! I like the Buggy, the CrossUp and the GT the bestest.
  20. Roger, I'm sorry to hear of this. Pets are HUGE, no matter their size. To you and your family, please take care.
  21. If it doesn't have a 1.2L Ecotec 4 cylinder with a turbocharger for each cylinder and six valves per cylinder with 4 camshafts, eek-assist and a 12 speed, intuitively shifted warp drive transmission, FORGET IT. I'll buy a 3-Series instead.
  22. Now I know why you've been drinking this evening. It's your birthday! Hope it's been a good one so far.
  23. IMO, the '73 Chevelle and Monte Carlo had the most intrusive looking front bumpers out of all the A-bodies introduced that year. Olds and Pontiac used thin blade-like bumpers (LeMans used a park bench, but it was tapered to look less severe), and Buick's, while big, was tapered to look less like a battering ram than the Chevelle's. That said... I still like the '73 Chevelle, especially with bumper guards to lessen the "impact" of that park bench out front.
  24. Whoa, what's in yer sippy cup this afternoon, 66? I moved a 2012 Focus sedan rental this afternoon after a customer parked it in like the middle of our lot in a random spot. I'm glad I bought the Cruze. The Ford feels positively claustrophobic after driving the Chevrolet, with the door panels and console making my little self feel like I had no room to move. The Focus is like a person you'd like to have a one night stand with, only to chew your arm off at 5 a.m., where the Cruze is a comfortable friend that builds into a satisfying orgasm... it makes you want to come back for more.
