  1. Ugh, I am so tired of this country's addiction to "safety". Life isn't safe, not if it's worth a damn. Mostly, this alleged safety is more illusion than reality anyway. This super-sanitized version of life we have been building just makes me want to heave.
  2. Tight budget. The car in my sig for sure, and maybe a gently used LS1 F-bod or GTO. The real classics I'd want would blow the budget, unless I went with a restorable piece
  3. :rotflmao: Thing is, people may not realize why a hardtop looks better, but they will notice that it does.
  4. Wow! That's a freakin' huge gap! Wonder why?
  5. I think your plug gap is way off. You should get the specs for that engine, my guess would be more like .035 or .045 not .060 or.080.
  6. That thing is stupid clean! Amazing!
  7. See sig. :AH-HA_wink:
  8. I don't see the badges, but it looks like a GTA and they are pretty rare (especially as a vert). Could be a nice buy.
  9. You'll probably have to drop the pan and replace the gasket to change the fluid - unless an aftermarket pan with a drain plug has been installed. It's a messy job (especially without a lift), so I would advise paying a shop to do it.
  10. Exactly the case. Why do I always have to love the really rare ones?
  11. I'm going to guess that sealed beams of any shape died with pop-up headlights.
  12. Yeah, some familiar faces in those vids.
  13. Same idea, but I'll leave that one to 68. :AH-HA_wink:
  14. Good luck Hyper! This is one of just three FWD cars that make me smile, especially the panel version. The HHR is a great product for so many people and GM needs to promote it much, much, more.
  15. I would eventually like to build Phantoms, cars that the factory could have built, but never did are so much cooler than clones could ever be. How about a '96 Impala SS 2-door convertible for example?
  16. 40k would be a bargain, and I love the colors. To each his own.
  17. Cars like this make me wish that I had had a wad of cash back in the early 80's when you could buy the cars of this era for a couple grand each. They were everywhere, cheap, and original. *sigh*
  18. For Formulas, the only thing better than this is a '73 455SD. 59k might be slightly steep for this one - but not by much.
  19. Tough crowd!
  20. I have to agree as well. The multiple bodystyles of the same vehicle approach is one that GM has ignored too long! It's a great way to do things. They should have done the same for the G8 by including the sportwagon along with the sedan and the ST.
  21. Extremely clean and low-mile. Also very, very, rare even when new. But... I just can't stand woodgrain on an El Camino. My Uncle had one of these, and his was the definition of ugly - it was white with the woodgrain, and a green vinyl top! This ebay car is far more palatable.
