  1. And just to confuse the issue, I'd call this one a factory phantom: By CaminoLS6 GM built a few of these, but they didn't make production due to costs.
  2. You have it exactly right, Mr. Blu.
  3. I think some of you are missing the point here just a bit. A Phantom isn't just an engine swap, it isn't a full-on custom (changing the drive wheels etc.), and it isn't a concept car brought to life (unless it is on a production platform. These would be Phantoms: A 2-door Tahoe A convertible GTO a G8 coupe A Solstice sedan A '72 Chevelle sedan delivery A Mustang wagon and so on...
  4. Good stuff! Keep 'em coming.
  5. I love the Pacific Slate color (Karma in Holdenspeak), it is the leading choice for my ST right now.
  6. Well, I already have two Colonnades to choose from - although your suggestions would be fun too. I'm thinking the Project Camino all finished including a new Ramjet 350. I need to have it done for the 50th anniversary celebration at Carlisle in June of '09 anyway. :AH-HA_wink:
  7. Hmmm, pro-touring in a restored Colonnade... Very tempting.
  8. Certainly not the agressive style of the concept that I loved so much... still, the nose looks better than the Malibu's, so that's a good sign.

    Phantoms

Phantoms (cars the factory could have built, but didn't) have always been a passion of mine. One great example would be a 94-96 Impala SS 2-door convertible - a car that would be a major collectible now had it been built IMO. So, what Phantoms would you like to build if money were not an issue?
  10. Is an explanation required? :AH-HA_wink:
  11. One of my "Phantom" recipes for the future: - import wrecked Holden sportwagon as "salvage parts" - buy a salvage G8 ST - engage torch Result: one-off Pontiac Shooting Brake.
  12. Way to make me smile!
  13. I was wondering why I hadn't heard from you about this... Real nice toy.
  14. Nice recipe, Ocn! God I just want to spend all my time building such things... Wonder if I could ever make a living doing so? Phantoms have always intrigued me.
  15. Fixed. :AH-HA_wink:
  16. I remember them on these cars, but I think they got an Arrowhead centercap.
  17. I just can't imagine ever spending the money on any of these cars brand new. I would hate myself instantly for not buying something far nicer (even if slightly used) for the same money. I just can't understand why anyone would do that to themselves.
  18. The price is a bit high, IMO. And, the snowflakes have T/A wheelcenters - I'd bet this car did not come with them from the factory. Why is it that I always remember these cars in a bright metallic green?
  19. Sounds like a great trip! I am insanely jealous!
  20. Leftlane pics are back up. And they say this is the " Corvette Centennial Concept", and that it will debut at the LA show.
  21. There is no way that car should be in a derby! I could make room for it if someone wants to buy it for me. :AH-HA_wink: I sure hope it finds a good home.
  22. Criminally ugly.
  23. Browser issues? Worked easily for me the first time. Make sure that you hit "submit" after you answer at a question in the general survey (scroll around a bit to see the whole page). Maybe that will help. When you do that, it will show a green check mark on that section. Once you see the check mark, try the recommendations button. Other than that, I have no idea why you guys can't access this.
