  1. gm4life, you make me want to go get mine detailed. Like right now.
  2. True, especially when coming down from 365. The article did mention that it has happened before only a couple of times in other vehicles. GM's best move is to tell the customers that they're reflashing the ECU in order to fix a potential problem. In other words, don't Toyota this up.
  3. That could be true too. Can't really engineer for that. Speaking of... Drew, any noticeable loss in power when you ran regular in your test? I know that the 3.5EB in the Taurus SHO loses 10 HP if it gets regular gas.
  4. Customer's fault, and they're STILL programming a fix. A real one, ostensibly. Though I am surprised that a failsafe like this got through the system.
  5. I had Kansas in the Final Four... so that hurts. Beyond that, I'm not sad about it. As a matter of fact, I'm not sad about any team that loses, really, since I don't have close ties to any of the schools (Old Dominion and Richmond had been the closest, each being in my home state). But I will say that this year's tournament has been extremely entertaining... and we haven't gotten to the Sweet 16 round yet.
  6. I'm gonna pay attention to ODU later too. Gotta support my hometown, even though my bracket doesn't have them beating Baylor.
  7. One person in my league had his championship wiped out in the first day. Could St. Mary's be this year's Cinderella? It looks like it...
  8. Looks like E85's only advantage is that it's for the most part renewable.
  9. I have 21/32 so far. Georgetown, Temple, and Vanderbilt losing hurt me a LOT. I still have my Final Four intact (Kansas, Syracuse, Kentucky, Purdue), with Syracuse beating Kentucky in the finals.
  10. If I could spare it, I'd put money on the chance that she's vying for her own reality show.
  11. This exactly.
  12. Wow... when this thread started, I was a senior in college. Since way back when: BA Spanish (minor in Mathematics), Virginia Tech, 2005 MAEd Curriculum and Instruction - Second Language Education, Virginia Tech, 2006 (degree barely used, if at all) MA Spanish, American University, 2009 PhD Hispanic Linguistics, University of Georgia, ca. 2014 (I start this fall)
  13. Studies had actually shown the exact opposite in prior years, especially in the Afr-Am community. Socialization of skin color is no joke. On a less psychological note, I wish they had said where in Louisiana this took place. It would explain a lot (supply/demand and all that). I'm willing to bet that WalMart stores don't base their product mix on customer demand like auto dealerships do.
  14. We know, Camino, we know.
  15. Wagons are all well and good. The poll asked for *car* body styles, though, and here come the trucks and SUVs... I'm just nitpicking though.
  16. Still a misleading statement by the writer. If GM lists the engine as a 3.6L, then dangit, it should be referred to as a 3.6L. The LaCrosse engine is closer to 3.6L than the Lexus engine is to 3.5L, anyway. If the LaCrosse had, say, a 3387cc engine, I can all but guarantee that MT wouldn't say that both cars "have a 3.4L V6 (give or take a few cc)." They'd call the 3457cc Lexus engine by designation (3.5L) without all the rounding crap.
  17. That's the thing though. No one really knows what to expect for $35K since everyone knows what to expect for 20 and everyone knows what to expect for 50. There's not a lot to compare it to in this segment, either. On another note, did anyone else notice that MT said that both cars had a 3.5L V6? Lack of fact-checking on their part, but then again, what else is new?
  18. LOL @ people not following directions...
  19. Today, I saw a Hyundai Genesis sedan with an unfamiliar grille. All it had was the chrome outline with a Genesis logo at the top... completely blacked out inside. Anyone else seen one of these on the road?
  20. I voted "sedan" without hesitation. My order of preference is sedan-wagon-coupe-hatch-convertible.
  21. Snow has been melting expeditiously here... a good thing, because dirty plowed snow makes February not look as pretty outside.
  22. Strangely enough, the last time I read CR (3 years ago), most luxury cars were rated below average in reliability, especially the German sedans.
  23. I like both of them for what they're supposed to be.
