  1. I'm glad they won. I can't stand the Patriots.
  2. It's all about choice. My next car purchase will be a compact, I can tell you that right now. Exciting? No. Economical? Yes, something that will be numero uno on my list. I don't have the means to afford the gas bill at this time, nor do I need a large car/SUV. However, people should have the right to own any type of vehicle they want. If they can afford the car, the gas, the insurance, why not? --------- Something that I felt was left out of the entire topic was the issue of cars manufactured before the "new CAFE". What is the government going to do about that? Grandfather them? What good does that do, especially in a time like this, when spending is way down? --------- Last Point: How can we, as a society, get automakers to introduce new "alternatively" fueled cars into their line-ups? --------- As always, just my $0.02.
  3. Those door handles look incredibly low. I like the rest of the car, but those stupid looking door handles...
  4. Obviously . The thing out-uglifies even most Toyota's. Edit: The beast in all its glory.
  5. Good for you for standing up. It isn't easy sometimes, thats for sure. I remember one time, a group of guys [read: the popular "macho" guys] came up to me and asked me if I was gay. I turned to them and in my loudest voice (in the library) I said, "Why, you wanna bang me? It'll cost you!" Everyone looked at them and I couldn't help but laughing at them. Public humiliation FTW. Again though--good for standing up. :]
  6. I was there today! All of the Gm displays were great, I especially liked the SAAB one. Side note: Any one else collect brochures as fanatically as I do? I think I got everyone that I could today...
  7. Honestly. The previous Sequoia (and Tundra for that matter) was inoffensively styled, and I actually found them somewhat attractive. I couldn't help but LOL when I saw this. It's a monstrosity of a design. I don't understand Toyota. It's like they have wild car designing parties in which they get drunk before they design the cars. Either that, or their focus groups are blind people who happen to have a cruel sense of humor.
  8. Don't get me wrong, I think the server errors have to be the most annoying thing since Richard Simmons. However, is it that big of an issue that deserved that first post? No. When I get the errors, I just don't click refresh 43 times to hope it will come back. I go somewhere else or do something else. Other things in my life need to get done, and to be frank, not being able to to see what antics wbpharry is up to this time isn't going to ruin my life. Not being able to see shots of the Buick LaCrosse Super until a few hours after it was posted? Didn't ruin my life. I saw it eventually. Again, I think the errors are stupid, but if something could be done to fix it, don't you the the mods would do it? It's not like their trying to intentionally piss us off. Or are they? Even with the crappy server, I'd still rather be here than the "other" GM fansite.
  9. I'm almost positive it doesn't have enough lights... Jest aside, It looks like a wicked sweet ride.
  10. So a while back, I posted that my mom was interested in buying a Saturn Outlook. However, my parents need something that can tow our trailer (Our Dakota does it, barely!). It's an Aerolite 26' that comes in around 4200 pounds. They've come to the conclusion that the Outlook won't fit the bill, and moved on to the next step. That step is either a Silverado/Sierra or Tahoe/Suburban. They've been cruising the internet to find deals on what will be left-over '07's. Part of the renewed look into a car is my fault. I am applying to college, and colleges look at how much equity you have, and if you have a car payment/mortgage/etc... your financial package usually increases. Cheating the system slightly, but whatever . Coupled with the fact that I keep showing my dad (the Toyota lover of the family) all the negative press the Tundra has had, I've almost got him convinced on a GM product. So w00t to that. Hopefully its within the next month or so, because the financial paperwork is due very soon. I'm pretty excited about the whole thing.
  11. All the "hicks" at my school think it's cool to drape the stars and bars all over their trucks. It really doesn't bother me, just because none of them could actually spell Confederate or tell you when the Civil war was fought. As for the Nazi flag, my grandparents fled Poland in the late 30's because of the Nazi's, so I would have no qualms in voicing my displeasure with the display of that flag. +1
  12. When will the French/Italians learn? I present to you the: Citroen Nemo Fiat Fiorino Peugeot Bipper
  13. I believe there is one near Lewiston, Maine. The first time I had Tim Horton's was in Montreal. Much better than Dunkins.
  14. I would never get through AP American History and AP Literature without my 24 OZ every morning. Something about West Indian beginnings and semicolons just puts me to sleep.
  15. Multiple Mate Marriages, I LOL'd when I read that. It's just funny to say. 6 Places currently allow gay marriage (Belgium, Canada, Massachusetts, The Netherlands, South Africa, and Spain. Why is it so hard for everyone else to just accept people for who they are and let them live their lives. Everyone should have equal rights, and the right to marriage to whomever they please should not be denied. And its not like marriage has any sanctity anymore; Brittany Spears can get married for 55 hours and thats OK, but two men/women can't get married even though they love each other? WTF. /rant
  16. Congratulations on taking the initiative to improve your health. Such a true statement. The grocery store I work at, you can't touch a carton Marlboro's for under $40. Which is cheap for New England. I'm almost sure NH has the lowest cigarette tax of the 6 New England States.
  17. New Hampshire - Hamp-sure Berlin - Bur-lin Concord - Kon-kerd, Conquered Durham - Der-rum Plaistow - Plasst-ow Salisbury - Sawls-burry Swanzey - Swan-zee
  18. I have no idea what R.D.1 stands for, but it reminded me that we used to have an RFD mailbox, back in the early 90's. Talk about your rural settings. Thats what I figured R.D.1. stood for--seeing thats what type of place you've been pining for. As for me, in the US I'd like to live on the coast of Maine. As for globally: Tahiti, New Zealand, or the Western half of Australia.
  19. If anyone wanted to see exactly they stacked up size-wise to each other: Model...................Length.......Wheelbase....Seats...Engine(s) Toyota RAV4.............181.1 in.....104.7 in.....5,7.....4-Cylinder, 6-Cylinder Toyota Highlander.......188.4 in.....109.8 in.....5,7.....6-Cylinder, 6-Cylinder Hybrid Toyota FJ Cruiser.......183.9 in.....105.9 in.....5.......6-Cylinder Toyota 4Runner..........189.2 in.....109.8 in.....5,7.....6-Cylinder, 8-Cylinder Toyota Sequoia..........203.9 in.....118.1 in.....7,8.....8-Cylinder Toyota Land Cruiser.....192.5 in.....112.2 in.....8.......8-Cylinder
  20. Seeing most people don't know how to change their oil or windscreen fluid, I doubt this would be an issue. Plus Porsche sells cars here... Edit: 200th post
  21. You forgot incredibly modest. :AH-HA_wink:
  22. Sixty8, pardon my asking, but what Cadillac dealership do you work for? The ones in my neck of the woods are Banks in Concord and Cantin in Laconia. Just curious, I might have to come introduce myself at some point, seeing we share a state (mind you, one of the best)
