  1. That is ABSURD... absolutely CRAZY. This means with the Rainier gone, and this replacing the Rendezvous, and then there's the Terraza, well, whatever the f is happening with that... this Enclave would have been the only "truck-like-product" that would have had a V8 in the Buick lineup. I just feel if you're going to have a truck, you want to have the power/torque to back it up. If they can't fit a V8 in there, then I better see like a twin turbo V6 or something.
  2. God, you just reminded me how much I hate the Pacifica's steering wheel!
  3. I have to say, when the V8 is added to the Enclave, it's going to be EXTREMELY competitive... there's a small chance, wait... should I jinx it?Oh f@#k it, I'm going to say it... ... that the Enclave could be class leading!
  4. Don't get me wrong, Buick NEEDS this vehicle AS IS.
  5. I just bet you the production Enclave just doesn't look nearly as good. It may be "99% production", but GM has taught me one thing, which is they can screw up a concept by penny-pinching.

Well, I think what he's trying to say is, that we've had some really weird threads, and this one is even more bizzare lolI'm quite impressed at how many good-looking people we have on this site!
  7. I heard the ES interior is going to be GORGEOUS.
  8. No, the Imperial is much bigger than that!
  9. My problem with the FiveHundred is that I absolutely hate Ford interiors.. I mean, it's not like the Mercury version is any better.I would say I would want a powertrain with a little more pep, but that'll be solved by the addition of the 3.5L V6 when it comes out. The exterior, well, it's not a huge winner with me, but I definitely don't dislike it. I like conservative designs, and this is one if I ever saw one. I mean, if there were a few changes, I would totally see myself buying one in a second (if I was out for a car right now).
  10. Well, according to this old thread, you may be right about 2008: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...topic=1817&st=0 It would all make sense though, cause in 2008, they plan to release the LaCrosse Super, so it sounds like maybe making the 3.6L standard in 08 and then some sort of higher output engine as the CXS or Super, may be what GM has planned for the refresh.
  11. Well, it's been a while since I've heard it, but I kept hearing 2006 was the last production year for the 3800. I'll have to look around and see if I can find any confirmation of that. It's really upsetting to hear such negative comments of the 3900... one would hope that a new engine that plans on being used for a while would be at least up-to-par with the engine it tends to replace. So far the ONLY benefit of the 3900 over the 3800 I see is a performance increase. Fuel economy is down, although maybe that'll be improved when we attach a 6A and DoD to it.
  12. Alright, so I was contemplating starting a new topic, but I figured I'd just post it right here as it regards the Lucerne and peoples' positive outlooks on it. So, I was on Edmunds last night surfing through some GM cars, when I stumbled onto the reviews of the Lucerne, by average Joes: People absolutely raved about this car. I mean, there were tiny little complaints, like one guy thought the speedometer could be easier to read. Another said it was hard to read the heated seat indicator on the door in the sunlight. For the majority though, they were saying how they owned Lexi or Jaguars or Audis and they said that they were EXTREMELY impressed with the Lucerne, and one commented how the Lucerne was far quieter than his A6! One man said he was constantly ragged on by his friends that he bought a Buick, until they rode in it and it left them with their jaws hanging. He said the only thing he'd change is not about the car, but how GM should change the way people perceive Buick, as if they could get them over from a Lexus dealer, they'd have a sale (which is what GM is trying to do). So, it was just really nice to read such rave reviews. I believe after all 14 reviews, the overall satisfaction was like a 9.4? Something to that effect. As a matter of fact, out of the 14 reviews, only one person didn't like the Lucerne. He felt it was a step down from his Park Avenue. But I think he was on crack. LOL
  13. I know what you mean... I'll be 29 on the 25th. There's a 24 year old hottie at work who uses a cane every now and then (she had a hip replacement this year because of a car accident she was in when she was 10), and she offered me her cane. She said I needed it more than her! Anyhoodilydoodle: HAPPY BDAY NOS! MAKE IT A GREAT ONE! HAVE A BLAST!
  14. Who says the 3800 is going to remain in the Lucerne for 2007?I just don't understand how they can put the 3900 in the LaCrosse as the base engine when the output is actually better than the "high feature" 3.6L I mean, in the Impala, the hp/torque ratings are 242/242 and the 3.6 in the LaCrosse has 240/225. It'd be a step back. The 3.6L would have to put out more, or it almost completely defeats the purpose of the CXS trim level.
  15. According to the Buick website, the Enclave is:Legnth: 202.3" Width: 79" Height: 71.1" Wheelbase: 119"
  16. Really? The tan V6 CXL I just saw I thought looked horrendous!
  17. I don't understand how that works: if the car is a concept, how does it win the best "production" car award?
  18. I don't know what to choose. I would consider it if I had the money to get a large car. I would also consider it if I was in the market for a Camaro type car. But in general, I'd probably have to say no, as once you hit V8 territory, cars start getting out of my price range.

I wouldn't say the worst, but I definitely don't like it. I would love to hear something like "FLS" (Fleetwood Luxury Sedan) or, better yet, "FPS" (Free for Paulie Sedan) :P
  20. I really wish the Enclave was already here. The name is staying for production, no?
  21. GM seems so up in the air with all of their plans, I don't know what the hell to believe.
  22. You're comparing the production version of the Camry to the concept version of the Aura.In terms of interior, although I haven't seen the Aura's production interior yet, I am doubtful it'll look as good (in my opinion) as it does in the concept. And I am doubtful I'll like it more than the Camry's. The exterior, however, I prefer the Aura. How close the production version will be, we'll see.

Oh My GOD! You're a hottie! LOL And you're white! I knew it! The chin never lies LOL
  24. I LOVE those taillamps!
  25. Well, my friend has a house upstate.. they have well-water. They use a sulfer-smelling cleaning system to purify the water. If you don't use the water often enough, it smells like rotten eggs (i.e., if they're not at the house for a month). Maybe it has something to do with the purification? Do you use well water?Oh, and where's the choice for "both"? I drink a ton of water, but it's half and half. (no, not the cream, but more the mixture).
