This past Saturday I went to my trusted Buick dealer and purchased a very gently used 2019 LaCrosse with about 4,000 miles. It's an Essence AWD in Red Quartz Metallic and an Ebony interior, with the Bose Centerpoint Surround, Blind Spot Monitoring, Navigation, Lane Keep Assist, Panoramic Sunroof, etc. The dealer held firm on their internet price but the price was honestly really good for an almost-new car. The car is stunning and after driving it, I was sold. It is a damn shame this car is gone from the US. Aside from having the carpeted mats, the dealer gave me ebony Buick all-weather mats. During the test drive I happened to comment I wish it had the sunshade because my early morning commute west, the sun is usually in my eyes from behind. To my surprise, the dealer installed one while they were detailing it and changing the oil. It was a nice treat. The Bose Centerpoint Surround before I experienced it, I thought was just a gimmick; a title/marque. I was completely wrong... when you turn on the Centerpoint Surround, the music shifts almost as though it's being played in the center of the car. Amazing how speakers can "throw" sound and give it such a different effect. For some reason, the "plood" in pictures always looked horrible in my opinion. In person it's a completely different story. I think it's very handsome. If I have to gripe, and it's about the start/stop and the wireless charging. Although the car is seamless to stop, it's noticeable when it starts. In fact, on occasion, there's a slight lurch forward as the engine restarts... not a fan, but I'll obviously cope. As for the wireless charging port, even with my case off, my phone doesn't fit. And although I can squeeze it in tightly, a display on the screen tells me through icons that only cell phones should be placed in there. If only it were a tiny bit bigger...

Definitely an improvement... haven't really liked Hondas for years.

That's a shame. I really liked the Malibu and loved the styling. I'm hating that choices for sedans are all disappearing, because I've always been a sedan man. I do hope they refresh it before it goes out...

The 2016 has Apple Carplay/Android Auto, it was the 2015 and earlier that didn't.

I wish GM could do plood like this... and update their 8" infotainment screens to something a little larger perhaps.

Interesting, since it doesn't show a solar roof. -

I like it, but those center console buttons are a joke. How is that intuitive at all to hit anything specific while driving?! -

Better... I'd say "much better" but the original didn't leave too much to be improved on. -

I'm agreeing with the comments... definitely need a better mic on you, background music needs to go down a bit, although your coverage, imagery, pacing, are all spot on for the audience they'd appeal to. For fun you should have some violins in the background and a bunch of wine glasses filled up with water on the dash and try and recreate a 90's Lexus commercial. -

So they're a bit more than I'm willing to spend on a used car. Single teacher here on Long Island, so I need my money for other things to survive! Besides... that semi-circle gauge cluster is god awful. I don't know who approved that.

I was thinking that as well... also, it has a few extra features I'd like. Just wish either car had blind-spot monitoring, but I've driven 25 years without it, so that's not an issue.

I'm 6'3", I like smooth, quiet, large sedans. I'm not a fan of the Avalon, and I'd like to keep the cost down. I do like creature comforts on a car.

Cadillac News: More Powerful Cadillac V-Series Get A Name
Paolino replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Cadillac
I'm cool with learning yet one more moniker--I'd be okay with just that... CT5 Blackwing, CT6 Blackwing, etc. You only see "CT#" in one spot on the car... Blackwing (or perhaps some logo) can be on the trunk, seats, dash, when you start it up, engine cover, etc. -
My parents who never comment about cars ever, have often said, "Lexus needs to stop this huge ugly grille thing they're doing." As a matter of fact, I don't know a single person who likes them. Yet they sell.

Interesting... thanks everyone.

To swap a 2015 radio with a 2016?
-
That's interesting... I wonder if the dealer would do it. There's a great deal on a low-mileage 2015 LaCrosse leather.

Thanks

I have a quick question and I'm hoping someone can help. I know for 2016, the Buick LaCrosse got Android Auto/Apple CarPlay Could a 2015 LaCrosse get an update to utilize Android Auto/Apple CarPlay or is it a different radio altogether? Thanks!

I'll say this, I haven't been able to get onboard with the tail-light piping.. vertical piping, fine, the (in my opinion, odd) horizontal-into-the-trunklid piping I'm just not liking.

Buick News: 2020 Buick Encore GX Fits in A Small White Space
Paolino replied to William Maley's topic in Buick
What? Something that looks like the Envison with a color added to its grille and has a cubic milliliter more cargo space? Silly man, it'd be the Envision GX of course. Enigma, Elephant, Earache... you could literally google e words and choose one Then again it's probably cheaper to mass produce Encore badges and then mass produce a little GX.
