Oh, how I wish it were. Unfortunately we're getting rid of the "Space" part it seems.

Maybe I'm using the wrong term... I mean the only lock button appears to be on the center console.

I know this is in the middle of the bitchfest, but anyone notice this LaCrosse has central locking? I'm not sure I like the idea of reaching to the end of the console to lock the doors. Then again, the console was very high in the car.

I saw a Taurus X on Monday... it looked a lot more like an SUV than it did a wagon/CUV... I had no idea it was going to be that high. EDIT: My bad. It is a crossover. So, uh, HOW MANY OF THESE SUV/CUV'S DOES FORD NEED!?

I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed in the excessive negativity there is towards Buick and this car. I thought it made sense to have Buick as a conservative entry luxury brand and Cadillac is the edgy luxury brand. Obviously there is a huge market for conservative luxury since Lexus sells in droves. Yes, I was let down on a few details with this car, but it's far too early to call it a complete failure as some have already dubbed it. This is to me, a classy-looking car I would like to own. Whether or not I could afford it is all up to pricing. I have a feeling this is going to start around 26/27 for the base. People thinking this car is going to top $40K, well, I feel that's unrealistic. Buick is not at that point yet and won't be for several years. (EDIT: at the point for the midsize entry luxury car to have a huge price range right now, and hit $40K)

We started brewing our coffee illegally in the Spanish teacher's classroom. I love that cup in the morning... she buys some sort of Spanish coffee... it's awesome--I get the rich flavor, the effect of caffeine, yet no upset stomach like regular coffee gives me. Ah, just like it was back in Italy--now there's coffee that'll put hair on your chest. :AH-HA_wink:

Haha--I'd settle for the last gen Century. :AH-HA_wink: My front bumper is falling off (not from an accident), the paint is shot, the tranny is rough, it burns a tiny bit o oil, I'm tired of 4 speakers mounted so the sound projects up to the roof instead of at me, etc. Don't get me wrong, it has almost 179K miles, and it's been an awesome car, but I'm ready for something with a low-fuel light, cup holders, and a trunk release. LOL

The Century is tarnished because it's associated with a very conservatively styled body and a soft-suspension... and I personally think boring and underpowered (compared to cars in its class at the time) when I think of it.

Let's not forget the 400-spoke monstrosities on the Aura XR and Enclave CXL... You probably can't remember Saturn's because it is up in the air with 5 spokes on the Astra/Vue, 6 on the Sky/Outlook.

Wow... it's a DAMN shame this wasn't out just a few years ago. I know someone who would have bought this in a second--instead, she has a C240 Wagon in red.

Isn't the point of a crossover to have the SUV storage/styling but have it handle like a car? Doesn't this defeat the "storage" part?

That seems overly ambitious to me. The Aura isn't selling so well... and they've gone to giving it a much weaker 4-cylinder engine, which seems like a step backwards from the direction they want to head. The sedans are going to have to overlap to a degree--at least in price.

Unfortunately, I'm getting tired of waiting for Buick to make their comeback. I'm going to have to consider what's currently out for my next car purchase, and there's a small chance it may not be GM.

I'm sure we'll hear it has something to do with the "exhaust note" like it did for losing 3hp on the LaCrosse Super.

Question is, would it take a major change to alter the platform to support it? I mean, this is in an area I don't know much about, so I'm just asking blindly.

Well, I would think they would have gotten rid of the 4-speed by now for a luxury car costing over 40K, but I believe it's been discussed at length that the G-body just can't support the 6-speed.

Just tell me what you want to say, and I'll translate it :AH-HA_wink: Well, if there was a smaller, premium car from Buick, I'd consider it. It'd have to really be premium though--I'd want to see things like auto climate control, alloy wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, heated leather seats, etc.

What kills me is, Buick will be for some time: LaCrosse and Enclave. That's it, 2 vehicles. That's pretty sad.
