Hillary Clinton
It's good to see Bill Richardson also enter the race... not sure what his chances are, but I like seeing candidates from the West....(and I don't mean Texas--Texas is part of the South, IMHO).

No more AMT !!
RC2 (formerly Racing Champions) is a diecast company primarily..the went on a buying binge over the last few years, bought ERTL (previous owners of AMT) and Playing Mantis (owners of Johnny Lightning) and really don't have a clue it looks like as to how to make a profit on model kits... I suspect they are looking to unload AMT to another company...I suspect someone else will buy AMT within this year. Since RC2 bought ERTL/AMT they let go of most of their design staff... except for the Chrysler 300C and new Camaro concept, the new kits developed under RC2 have been pretty bad (the F&F Eclipse, Supra, Evo, 350Z). Otherwise, they've been doing straight reissues and modified reissues of old AMT/MPC tools. I hope to see the AMT name carry on; I've been building AMT models for almost 30 years and have many that are older than I am (dating back to their 1958 annuals). The oldest models in my collection are AMTs---an AMT '58 Edsel ht, and several '59 annuals--Impala ht and convertible, Bonneville ht & convertible, Invicta ht & convertible, a Galaxie ht, and Edsel ht & convertible.

DTS has still got it
That's insane..a car on a truck/SUV platform? In the 21st century? No way..
-
DTS has still got it
Maybe they will use the Zeta platform for the next DTS?

Chrysler Dropping SWB Minivans
The Post Office has a bunch of the SWB ones around here...labeled 'Dodge C-V' instead of Caravan ('Cargo-Van' is the commercial name, apparently)....along with some Windstars and a few of those older wierd little trapazoidal box trucks...

would this be wrong?
Looks like something for a '50s truck...

Jeep Commander is done
True... I'd rather not see the GC get any larger than it is... I've taken mine off-road a few times every year...and know other owners that do that, but this being Colorado, that's probably an anomaly compared to the rest of the country..
-
Jeep Commander is done
Agreed...they already have the Durango and Aspen for those who want/need a 7 passenger SUV...I'm all for keeping the GC the size it is...

Pontiac G8/Holden Commodore Confirmed
The side profile is the best view of the Commodore..and the rear. Looks 1000% better than the current Grand Prix, IMHO.

Hillary Clinton
McCain is too old to run, IMHO...he's 70 now..will be 72 in '08. I'm willing to go with Hillary...though I like Obama also... After voting for Gore in '00, Kerry in '04, I'd really, really like to be voting for a Democratic winner in '08.

When you can't sleep...
When I was in grad school, I used to pull all nighters working on programs or papers... go out a little all-night diner in downtown Ann Arbor for breakfast at 3 am... drinking lots of Mountain Dew.. Back in the late '90s when I worked at a series of dot.bomb startups, I occasionally worked 24-36 hrs straight...crazy times..

No more AMT !!
I've read a number of articles about it...most likely, RC2 will sell off the AMT brand and tooling at some point. RC2 has done a poor job with them since they bought ERTL (AMT's previous owner) a few years ago. It's too bad, I probably have 700 or so AMT kits (from 1958 issues to the present) in my collection...

Simple Question: Yes or No?
I'd categorize the Ferrari 612 as GT, like the Porsche 911... the F360, F430 are definitely sports cars, though..

Simple Question: Yes or No?
Nope..the M5 is a sports sedan, like the CTS-v, E55 AMG, etc...
-
Simple Question: Yes or No?
No.. A sporty compact, but not a sports car. A sports car to me are cars like the Miata, Solstice, Sky, Corvette, Cayman, Boxster, Elise to name a few...

2008 Cadillac CTS: Image Gallery
Saab's appeal has historically been a New England thing, I think...not sure about now, but they used to be very, very common in the Boston area..not sure about now...kind of how Subarus historically have been a New England and Rocky Mountain area phenomenon...

Definitely...the RWD would be a big selling point...if you could get one of these in the US for under $25k it would make a fun little commuter car, IMHO...

2008 Cadillac CTS: NAIAS pictures and video
Not good if the manual is limited only to 258 hp...the G35 and TL-S beat that and are probably lighter..
