  1. Love the roofline and proportions of the 2nd gen Corvair coupes. Saw a new 2020 Explorer on the road today, gray with a temporary plate. Sharp, first I’ve seen on the road. Also saw a gray w white stripes 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, also w a temporary plate.
  2. That is a bit strange. I prefer cremation so I have a little box to put on a shelf; wouldn't bury a dog in the yard since yards are temporary.
  3. Dog videos are always fun..here are a couple w/ two of my favorite breeds, Yorkies and Australian Terriers.
  4. Saw a 20 year old Navigator this afternoon in this Monocromatic style--black, with stock rims painted black, grille blacked out.. someone was ahead of the curve...;)
  5. Wow... I've never checked the mileage of my sister's Trax, but I've seen 25 or better occasionally in my 3.6 GC on road trips.
  6. Speaking of disappearing diesel options, I saw Ford was cancelling their US market diesel Transit Connect...apparently it was announced last year but never produced.
  7. I like that two tone interior, but those exterior color choices are bland..I like the other color choices they have across the range, like the blues, reds, and silver green.

  9. Re: marketing....for example, Jeep has successfully capitalized on the outdoor adventure imagery with their ads for decades, GM could do the same with their various CUVs/SUVs..
  10. Saw a bright red '67 Grand Prix convertible yesterday, rolling top down...white interior. Also saw a Saab 9-7X in clean condition, kind of a taupe color. Haven't seen one in a couple of years.
  11. I could see that happening at BP gas stations...they have their unleaded pump handles in green, instead of just the diesel at other station chains.
  12. Sharp truck. I like the color.
  13. Ya, incredible stuff...I've always liked ice cream, but never experienced frozen custard like this...delicious..they have a couple basic flavors (chocolate, vanilla) and a unique flavor of the day..every day. It's about 10 miles from home, beautiful drive through winding, hilly roads of the national park to get there....gone almost daily the last 2 weeks...a summer guilty pleasure. 14. Went for custard again tonight and saw a red '60 Chevy Impala convertible, a black '63 Bonneville convertible, and a white first gen Chevy II sedan delivery (cut and shut from a wagon) out enjoying a beautiful Ohio summer evening.. also saw a black '68 Chevelle ht, a dark blue w/ white stripe '68 Chevelle convertible, a silver blue '66 Mustang coupe, and a silver blue '69 Impala ht.
  15. Saw an article recently about how bad headlights are in general in vehicles nowdays, esp the standard lighting.
  16. On a nearby street being resurfaced, saw a strange street sweeper truck..had a Frieghtliner cab with two steering wheels! The driver was sitting on the passenger side. I guess having dual drive setups makes sense so the driver can sit on the curbside to watch curbs when sweeping.. A bit o' googling turned up pics of one..wild.
  17. Yeah, some of the more distant ones are. I know I have ancestors in the US going back to colonial days.
  18. She had the same thought about the 'killer gene'. And the interesting thing is there are close relatives in our Mom's family with schizophrenia and other mental illness issues. It makes for interesting research. I am related to William Shatner, by the way.
  19. Yes, but quite tastefully used. I love the 80s styling.
  20. I'd have to check my sister's notes, but all these guys are/were 3rd - 12th cousins, IIRC. Ted Bundy Gary Ridgeway (Green River Killer) Dennis Rader (BTK Killer) John Wayne Gacy Jeffrey Dahmer Henry Lee Lucas
  21. It is interesting to look into that.. my sister goes on genealogy kicks occasionally and has traced our family lineage back a long way...mostly English, but some French (Alsace) and Swiss, Scottish and Ulster Scots. A related activity is finding what famous or infamous people one is related to. I'm distantly related to multiple past and modern era presidents, entertainers, and strangest of all--some of the most notorious serial killers (all through my Mom's family).
  22. I don't know much about Tacoma, but I would like to visit the LeMay Car Museum.
  23. Though I know firsthand how old Mercedes can be money pits, I'd really love to have a mid 80s 500SEC or 500SEC AMG...love the hardtop styling.
  24. And the Encore GX also, wasn't clear if the US was getting both?
  25. Enclave is a sharp looking CUV...like this red.
