  1. Talk about irony..I saw an older gent with a 'Korean War Veteran' license plate frame recently...he was driving a Sonata.
  2. I assume the convertible version will follow within a year to 18 months. It will be interesting to see how the Corvettes' usual 65 yr old male buyers react to it... The styling is kind how I expected it to be, some C7 general styling cues with mid-engined silhouette and proportions..a slight resemblance in profile to the F430, but squarer and bigger scoops. At least they didn't go full Silverado with the front end.
  3. Definitely a driver-focused cockpit..the passenger can't even interact w/ the touch screen...but they do have that long row of buttons to play with...
  4. You are just being obstinate...Corvettes have always been Chevrolets. Nothing wrong with that. I'm sure on the title or registration it will say Chevrolet. It's not a separate brand. And there is a little bowtie on the winged bird emblem.
  5. My favorite CTS bodystyle may be the wagon... love those taillights... I think the 2nd gen CTS was the best overall for styling inside and out, I esp. prefer the 2nd gen front end to the 1st and 3rd gen models.
  6. Lotus still has one model in the US, and it's the cheapest rear-mid engine sports car currently on sale in the US, I think..the Evora has been around for over a decade now. They are pretty low key amongst sports car makers..
  7. I don't know about 'half-assed', but it has a huge ass... I like the look, it doesn't follow the usual 2dr coupe that looks like a 4dr w/ two longer doors formula.
  8. Hennessy Goliath Silverado 6x6...something different. https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1124097_chevy-silverado-based-hennessey-goliath-6x6-is-real-hits-the-road-with-450-horsepower
  9. Other than the engine change, the Vega didn't really have any major revisions during it's 71-77 run. Federal bumpers and a revised nose and taillights in '74, grille change in '76...the Pinto went through more styling changes during it's longer run, albeit minor also.
  10. It seems GM (and Ford) really didn't take subcompacts seriously then and invested the minimal amount getting them out with no concern about quality, durability, or reliability.
  11. Good idea. Though I think it should have been on the Colorado platform and more of a Bronco competitor...more off-roady per it's namesake..
  12. Yeah, it seems stuck as the minivan brand right now...and they have the Italian filler brands above it in the way (Alfa and Maserati).
  13. More performance versions are always a good thing. Performance might be identical to a Dodge SRT, but different styling--I'd have the Dodge look like a Charger sport wagon. That's what I like about Jeep GC variations....they've got luxury, off-road and performance trims in the mix. Chrysler is a dead brand I'm afraid.
  14. Of course, with Jeep they could do luxury also with a Jeep Eagle Summit. Have a Trailhawk and Trackhawk versions (differentiated from Dodge Magnum SRT, which would be more street and performance). For the Jeep version I'm thinking something conceptually ala the Volvo V90 CC or Audi Allroad. (I love the idea of a Jeep Eagle sport wagon).
  15. Yes. Though maybe a differently styled Magnum version for Dodge also. I think a second gen Magnum wagon w/ Charger styling would have been nice.
  16. Too bad FCA hasn't made an Outback-ish wagon....would love to see the Eagle name return for an AWD LX-based wagon, with Hellcat option of course.
  17. I saw a couple at my neighborhood VW dealer in Phoenix back in 2017...sat in one. Seemed like a neat wagon.
  18. Instead of a big investment to JV or build from scratch a new model to try and enter an existing segment, they should be bold and offer the existing Sprinter truck versions here, maybe with a deeper pickup style bed instead of the shallow tilt bed....focus on the commercial market like the Sprinter vans.
  19. Half hearted, minimal effort entry into the global pickup market. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
  20. When people stop buying new? I don't know how prices can continue to escalate.
  21. I would assume the Mach E EV will be similar to this...I think we will see more of these type of wagonish CUVs coming to replace sedans.. trans genre vehicles that are car like, and CUV like...maybe the Venza was too early.
  22. Would be a nice-to-have..my reverse camera gets gunked over in inclement weather.
  23. Evolution...a car-like CUV, almost a 'wagon'. Reminds me of the Venza profile.
  24. Speaking of the Fusion, sounds like the name may be on a new global CUV for 2021... https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/ford-resurrect-mondeo-global-mid-sized-crossover?utm_medium=EMAIL&utm_campaign=Enews Bulletin&utm_content=ACAR ENews Bulletin - SUBS AD V4 (1) 16.7.19::hero_image&utm_source=20190716
  25. Temporary as in I like to have the cremains in boxes I can move from house to house. Not planning on being in this house w this yard forever.. have a cabinet w the boxes and photos of fur kids past...
