    Yeah, Seattle itself is pretty close to sea level, isn't it? You have more rain than snow in the winter I presume... living in Denver and Colorado Springs (both over 5000 ft elevation) I was used to dry, sunny winters with occasional huge snows, though mostly in October, March and April.... weather on the Front Range depends on where you are relative to the Rockies. I do miss living near mountains.

    Yeah, I don't get the CF trim craze. I understand it is a strong yet light material, very useful in race cars for structure. But I find the appearance revolting, would never want it exposed in an interior or exterior of a vehicle I owned. Alas, the tablet glued on the dash style of NAV system seems to be where the industry is going to it seems. I prefer the integrated approach also.

    So most winters you don't get this much accumulation at one time? I was used to huge snows like that every winter in Denver. Other than one snow with about 10-12 inches, it's been mild this winter in Cleveland.

    You need a snow blower/thrower.. shoveling sucks.

    The thing I've noticed is the performance trim versions of luxury cars all too often means dour all-gray or all-black interiors, and disgusting carbon fiber...too boring... I'd rather see more colorful, luxurious interiors w/ the performance packages (color choices in the leather, a variety of wood trim options, etc). Audi does a good job sometimes w/ the color, though..I like this interior (would be better without the CF shit, though).

    Well, this is just an appearance package...a 'sport' package, not a 'V Sport' package.

    I saw a number of early Fords (Model T and pre-Model T) at the Crawford museum Saturday, had seen some years ago at the Henry Ford, but one thing I always notice about brass era cars is how tall they were and how high they sit. Partially due to the poor roads of the era and tall tires/wheels, no doubt. I'll post some pics when I have a chance. The early pre-model T Ford touring car (can't recall the name) was HUGE.

    Getting back on track, the Model 3 is an interesting novelty car, but for the price, there are so many far more appealing cars, IMO. It would not be on my radar.

    I remember there were a lot of reality paradoxes at the time of the downsizing...like the carryover '77 midsize GM A-bodies were actually slightly longer than some of the downsized for '77 B-bodies. Or the downsized '78 A-bodies were the about the size of the compact X-bodies. Or the downsized '85-86 GM full sizers that were barely larger than the downsize A-body midsizers. Or with Chrysler, their full size mid 80s M-body was really a compact mid 70s F-body underneath.

    The late 70s downsizing wave and the mid 80s downsizing wave reset the parameters for what a 'full size' car is. My parents had full size Mercurys and Lincolns when I was growing up, and remember the downsizing from the 79 Continental to the 80s Town Car. The dimensions of what is a full size car today is smaller than it was 40 years ago.

    Went to the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum at the Cleveland History Center today...they have a nice eclectic collection, incl. a group of brass era cars, some of which are brands that were built in Cleveland like Peerless, Jordan, Chandler, Baker. A little bit of everything, incl. airplanes, a Goodyear Blimp gondola, a couple small boats, etc. They had a Hemi Satellite and a '65 GTO: Some 40s-50s cars:59 Chevy, Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special, 57 T-Bird & Mercedes 300SL Some pre-war cars:Airflow, '39 Lincoln-Zephyr, Auburn and a Cadillac A couple stainless steel Ford one-offs:36 Ford & '66 Continental Some concept cars:AMX, Dodge Avenger, and Jeep Compass An 80s-90s exhibit... And a couple early Baker electrics and an EV-1.

    Alas, the opportunity for that is all in the past now, with the demise of the RWD OZ models....the Holden brand no longer has anything special, just rebadged GM FWD appliances now...

    'Blazer' could be a good name for an EV...use a little flame logo like an electrical fire..

    I remember way back when the first gen Miata had a special edition in dark green w/ a saddle interior...would like to see that color combo again.

    I like it, though I don't think I'd go for bright orange. A Miata is definitely on the short list of modern cars I'd like to own.

    I like those Park Avenues. As far as hip hop, I do listen to some occasionally... I did see Dr Dre, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg Eminem and others on the Up in Smoke Tour back in '00...I do like the old Dr Dre and Tupac tracks like 'California Love'.. Didn't see much of anything this week..haven't left the house since Monday (a downside/upside to working from home?). Got to get out and run around some this weekend.

    They were from L.A..West Coast hip hop...their lead rapper Everlast had some solo success..

    Retro touch referencing the old FJ Land Cruisers? They often had white roofs (as did the FJ Cruiser).

    Tears for Fears doesn't bother me, though I prefer Simple Minds for mid 80s pop music. Now as far as a song that elicits a strong, visceral dislike from me, the worst is House of Pain's 'Jump Around'..that damn squealing sound sets me off. Always have to change the station or mute the radio if it comes on.
