  1. It's going to be interesting to see the new trucks in person. I definitely like the Ram the best of the big 3..the new Chevy front is too busy, as is the existing F-series. Except for the bumper, the Ram is the cleanest overall, IMO.
  2. Well, the T6 Ranger was engineered in Australia, so it was RHD before LHD.....though in the first version of the T6 ('11-14) the shifter looks centered in the console. But if you look at the '15-18 interior, the shifter seems to have moved towards the passenger, and the new NA version is kind of the mirror image of the this. 2019 NA version:
  3. The seat surfaces look like molded plastic floor mats with those grooves. Hopefully they are softer than they look. Not bad looking, a bit generic in profile..so many semi-fastback 6 window greenhouses out there today.
  4. Since the MCE in '16 it seems Chevy has been trying to make the Silverado more and more overwrought looking. They haven't looked good since '14-15, IMO.
  5. After looking at pics of the new 'Rado, Ram and the current F150, once again the Ram has the best looking face of the bigguns, IMO... wonder what the Sierra will look like.
  6. Probably variations for various trims..not sure what is going on in the horizontal bar that splits the grille below the light cluster..are those lights and vents?
  7. It's funny, I just realized the simple, clean front of the Ranger matches up more with the 2019 Ram than the overwrought dreck of the F series and Super Duty front ends....similar light clusters and grille shape to the Ram.
  8. Well, this Ranger is a midsize, though, which are usually V6...definitely not as small as the old Ranger. This is Colorado/Canyon sized.
  9. The current international Ranger (the T6 dates back to MY 2011) isn't offered with a V6 in any market that I can see...maybe they would have had to do costly platform re-engineeering to offer a V6...time will tell whether no V6 is a good or bad idea...
  10. I bet the price range will match the Colorado and Taco ranges pretty closely...
  11. I was looking at the Australian site, they also offer 4- and 5-cyl diesels, a regular cab, and regular cab and chassis variations. Since they don't have the F-series, they have a broader range of configurations.
  12. Neat...speaking of Cords, I saw this red 37 812 convertible yesterday at the Jazz Age exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Yesterday was a cold, snowy day, so I had a culture outing to the University Circle neighborhood of Cleveland. First the Cleveland Museum of Art to see the Jazz Age exhibit, then dinner at Severance Restaurant at Severance Hall followed by the Cleveland Symphony at Severance Hall performing Mahler's 9th Symphony. Today, though is football Sunday. There was a 25 Rolls Royce on display at the museum also.
  13. The crosshair grille had been in continuous use since around 87 IIRC. The 'big rig' fender treatment dates to 94.
  14. This is the current international Ranger, styling looks much the same except for the front bumper/fascia details below the grille. I wonder if we will have a trim similar to the Wildtrak (black one).
  15. Yes, that's it...stopped there for gas and did a walk around..I took a couple pics, but it was like 16 years ago I was there..
  16. Nice.. it looks like they haven't changed the styling much from the international Ranger that's had a similar face since 2015. Glad they resisted the urge to go for F150 styling with giant lights and grille. Key dimensions are within an inch or two of the Colorado, it looks like. The bumper is different front the current international model, but the body and interior look pretty much unchanged.
  17. A confused Oldsmobile. I saw a '55 Cadillac 4dr that was double ended like this parked at a gas station off I-80 in Wyoming in the early oughts..
  18. lowered suspension with 15 inch wheels and tires I'm trying to figure out what is going on with the vertical front edge of the fender where it meets the bumper. Would like to see closeups of the gold one w/ chrome trim. There is some trim between the chrome bumper and fender it looks like in the side shot of the gold one. Looking at the blue one w/ the body color bumper looks like there is a lot of beveled surfaces on the bumper. And the gold one seems to have chrome squares on the bar below the headlights above the lower grille...lots going on...
  19. Looks like a responsive design approach to the page layout. It looks good on Safari on my Mac, iPad and iPhone.
  20. I'm no artist, but trying to imagine how a Cadillac autonomous pod will look like..a sleek sharp-edged black toaster, with pointy fins, tall lights up the back, and lots of chrome...
  21. Bold and dramatic..imagine what a Lexus version would look like with the Predator grille..
  22. The future autonomous transport pods may look like toasters..the future is going to be bold
  23. The other aspect of what I think constitutes a 4dr coupe like the CLS is the frameless door glass...
  24. I don't know about that..look to past eras--a '59 Impala ht has the same roofline as a '59 Coupe de Ville, for example. The squared off formal roofline of the original Seville is very similar to the roofline of the early 80s Malibu, Regal, etc sedans. Especially with GM in the 80s, the stylistic differences between the bottom and top brands was minimal--grilles and taillights identified brand differences.
