  1. These are just FWD midsize sedan appliances, though...I doubt if very many of their buyers can even comprehend the difference between a 4 or 6.
  2. kelp
  3. chard
  4. Very sharp...great condition and colors.
  5. I definitely want to check it out...I like the '11+ Charger quite a bit, would like to compare this..
  6. How are the ergonomics and controls? Adjustability? Headroom? Cupholders?
  7. <cynical-realist> Congress is doing what is good for the insurance companies...corrupt corporations that buy politicians. They don't have any incentive to do what is good for the public, since the public isn't financing their campaigns. </cynical-realist>
  8. (Faraday cages are good places to hang out while wearing your tinfoil hat..protected from mind probes)
  9. I can't imagine that kind of thinking today. Today the general thought is more like 'whatever..I don't agree with what you say, so F you..."
  10. If you feel secure in your rights, well good for you. However, those rights have been violated many, many times in our history. The recent past shows multiple, glaring, examples of purely unconstitutional legislation being codified into law. It's the way of aging republics - history shows this clearly, and we are not immune. Eventually this experiment that is the US will run it's course...hopefully, it won't be in my lifetime.
  11. I have a feeling that eventually insurance companies will pull something like they do with home insurance... so that if you don't have updated electrical, they won't insure your house. At some point, this logic applied to "features" like ABS, TC, black boxes, etc. will make it difficult to insure a car with standard insurance... relegating older cars to limited mileage collector insurance. Is that somehow NOT a chipping away of personal freedom?? Personal freedom doesn't count for much in a corporatocracy as we have today...we the people are the product as much as the products companies make...government for the companies, not the people.
  12. It amazes me just how willing folks are these days to make this most dangerous bargain. Most people couldn't care less...as long as they can keep w/ the latest news on the Kardashians, play Farmville, get their fast food, they are happy...
  13. The Corvette is V8 only also. This is a low volume niche model...I would assume pricing would be in the ballpark of a Charger SRT8... The ATS is intended to be a high volume model. But the Vette is a sports car, and who knows, it may even get a V6. Even the S-class and 7-series offer a V6/I6, I think if it is V8 only they are going for really low volume. But maybe that is what they want. Maybe they will offer a non-SS version w/ a V6 at some point in the future, if they build it in NA. Chevy already has the Impala, they don't need two big cars w/ V6s...

  15. Doubt if that is going to happen... I don't know if they are going to bring back the Z/28 name, maybe w/ the next generation. And then there is the SL1..
  16. Surprised they couldn't get more creative with the name. Oh well..nice to see Chevy finally getting a Charger competitor.
  17. Sounds like the name is going to be 'SS Performance', but that seems rather odd to me..
  18. Neat...that looks very similar to the '71 Swinger my brother had in '78...same color, same vinyl top. It was his only Mopar amongst the 50 or so cars he's owned over the last 45 years.
  19. Probably 90% in Toyotas...
  20. The yellow pads look like they were just randomly tossed on the dash..very cheesy looking. I don't care for the dash design at all, but the exterior is clean.
  21. As far as data gathering, it's all part of the 'Surveillance Society' world we are evolving into...in many areas, the US is behind countries like the UK, and is working to catch up.
  22. You are joking, right? It does have a rather long trunk...looks like at least a 4- if not a 6-body trunk....maybe the Caddies had longer ones then. As far as '69-70 C-body styling, I think I prefer the Buick Electra 225, esp. the rear end.
  23. I can imagine the Patriot Act allowing the NSA or Homeland Security to store this data in the vast new Utah data warehouse under construction to mine for potential terror threats, as they plan to do w/ all email traffic, Facebook posts, Twitter posts, etc. I can also such data being useful to law enforcement for ticketing, precrime data gathering, etc. Will such data it be used this way? Only time will tell. Life in the electronic age..
  24. Sorry to hear that. Good luck in finding your next gig.
