  1. Saw a '13 Mustang Boss 302 in that new funky green at on the rotator at the local Ford store yesterday.
  2. I've read that tri-five Chevy and Pontiac wagons shared the rear sheetmetal and other wagony parts...note the Chevy taillight opening w/ a Pontiac-specific light housing. The tail lights really were "phoned-in", would have looked better if they had just used the Chevy lights. Those taillights may have inspired the G8 taillights!

  4. Wow...brave to take the dash out like that...I'd be afraid I'd never get it put back together correctly if I tried something like that.
  5. Ok, well still, you can't have a 450 hp Chevy, let alone a 600 hp Chevy when the ATS has a 195 hp or 200 hp 4-banger, the next gen CTS is getting a 4-banger and the XTS has 300 hp. And mega horsepower cars cost a lot, and Chevy is a value brand, and they need some volume. But I fear the "old GM" will rear its ugly head here and we will basically get a direct from Australia import that has the same flaws the GTO and G8 did. At least the G8 had a V6 model that wasn't crazy expensive, imaging if the G8 was only the GXP model, they would have sold 20 a month. Your logic makes no sense...a V8 Chevy competes in a different market niche to a different customer than a 4cyl Cadillac. Apples and oranges.
  6. MPG gains aren't just about the engines, though..the automakers needs to work long term at reducing the obesity of their trucks...
  7. Got a detailing and car wash this morning...got my headlights buffed out and they look like new..they were very cloudy/discolored before. Odometer rolled over to 137k yesterday. Still cleans up pretty well..though the bumper plastic has sun fade and the chrome 'Jeep' hood badge has lost it's shine.
  8. It is odd that companies are using Charlie for ads, given his noteriety. He's also in a funny ad for something the references his 'Platoon' role...
  9. Cool...Subies are pretty rugged. I was thinking coupe because the door open icon shows 2drs. Speaking of Subies, did you see the Jalopnik article about the guy in Finland whose '96 Outback started on the first try after 3 months under a frozen lake?
  10. You would have to study the content for each trim level on the Chrysler site configurator. There are some trim packages that seem to be available on both, and some that are V6 or V8 specific.
  11. Hmmm...not a 1st gen Legend coupe. Not sure about the 2nd gen. The 2nd gen Legend coupe or Lexus SC would be high on my list for interesting '90s Japanese cars..
  12. One can also view the structure such that the XTS is parallel to the ATS and CTS, not the top of a hierarchy. Think Lexus--they have the IS, GS, LS hierarchy and the CT and ES in parallel tracks...
  13. The dogs are only ever in the car when going to the vet, groomers, or pet wash...I've seen the ads for the special car seats for dogs, thought about getting some for my 5-, 10- and 20- pound furkids.
  14. Since light rail was introduced to the Phoenix metro area a few years ago, there have been many crashes...esp. ones where people make a right turn at an intersection and drive into the side of a moving train...'didn't see it' or 'didn't know it was there' type excuses...
  15. Then there are the bands that are actively trying to be the biggest ever...whether it is in terms of album sales, awards, make the most $$ off of tours, etc. many different ways of measuring success...as far as what bands are 'the best', well, that's a personal or a critical choice..not really quantifiable...
  16. I'd love to know the story behind this. tornado? It would probably be mangled if it were a result of a tornado. I would say advertising for a business (I've seen cars on a pole for a junkyard), but I don't see any advertising on it...strange.
  17. The CTS coupe styling has been growing on me...even with the decklid being 2 inches long and 4 feet tall.. As far as the regular CTS, I've had a chance to drive a black on black '11 some the last few days, very nice...I'd only sat in them the before.
  18. The Genesis doesn't do anything for me...the low-rent brand, bland, deriviative styling...about the only thing going for it that it's RWD w/ a V8..
  19. Not sure..wondering if they are the same thing, I can't find any mention of an Executive Series on the Chrysler website.
  20. Interesting point...The Black Album (after hearing Load) was when I first started listening to them..wasn't familiar w/ their earlier work.
