  1. I hate summer here in the desert hellhole...supposed to be 113 today, but cooling to 107 later in the week.
  2. Saw a clean dark red Alfa 164 today, a pale blue w/ white interior '67 Caddy ragtop (with the top down, which was insane considering it was 113)...
  3. It's just a chunk of plastic or something. Can't really tell much about the car at all...
  4. A goog turned up this list.. http://www.tuckerclu...ee_a_tucker.php #57 according to tuckerconvertible.com. But hasn't that story been debunked as fake? http://tuckerconvertible.com/story.php
  5. How many still exist? Wasn't the production count 51 or so..
  6. This one was found in a garage in Washington in '10. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2011-01-27/classified/sc-cons-0127-autocover-20110127_1_tucker-automobile-club-alex-tremulis-pilot-cars
  7. I've seen a couple of them during Scottsdale auction week in the last couple years...a blue restored one at Barrett-Jackson this year and a pale blue unrestored barn find one at Gooding & Company last year...interesting cars.
  8. That does sound like a police brutality case, though. If someone was pregnant in jail they should have recieved medical attention..
  9. CDI & CRD are trademarked by Diamler Funny thing is it looks like the current GC w/ the 3.0 VM diesel is badged currently as CRD in Europe...(they've had this engine since '11).
  10. 'ecodiesel' sounds odd.. 'CDI' or 'CRD' works better for badging, IMO.
  11. Arizona has more than it's fair share of Ameritards. The future looks to be more like 'Idiocracy' sooner..
  12. Sick and twisted..what kind of mental illness would cause someone to even imagine driving something that worn out..
  13. Breakaway walls to minimize damage for drivers that run off the street..
  14. I had two cars when I lived in Michigan ('94-97)...two Fords--my '87 Mustang GT and '88 Bronco II 4x4. The road salt did it's work on the Bronco..
  15. Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit.
  16. Limiting it to new or late model (< 5 years old) I'd probably go with: Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca Camaro ZL1 Cadillac CTS-V (any bodystyle) Dodge Charger R/T or SRT8 ('11+) Chrysler 300 ('11+) Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit ('11+) Porsche Boxster S or Cayman These are all cars I'd seriously like to own, new or slightly used..
  17. Some people like sports cars, some don't. Porsches are all about the driving experience...they drive great. I wouldn't mind having a late model Boxster, Cayman or 911 at some point..
  18. That's USB you are thinking of..
  19. I've had good luck w/ Viewsonic and Dell flat panel monitors.
  20. There was a story that all Automakers were on the hunt for QA software engineers. This was their biggest area of growth. Part of the problem in software engineering in general is it seems very few people actually like doing QA work..those that are very good at it and enjoy it are tough to find. I know as a developer and architect I prefer to work on the design, implementation, and deployment aspects... True, but for those of us that love to test, we can make a very good living at it finding the bugs! True enough..good testers are hard to find but very valuable on projects, esp. big complex ones like I seem to end thrown in..
  21. I don't see many Audis relative to BMWs or Mercs here in the desert...they are more popular in areas where people like AWD like Colorado, I think.

  23. Sounds like they need better QA efforts. Software bugs are the bane of my work life...(my bugs, bugs in other people's code, etc).
  24. Saw 5 '13 Ford Escapes in a row, different colors, driving together w/ Mich MFGR plates at a mall in Gilbert, AZ the other day.. saw a black FR-S w/ a temporary tag this morning.
