  1. I saw a white one on the road last week... probably a mfgr vehicle out testing. Saw one in person at Barrett-Jackson in January, they look a lot bigger in person than I thought they would be..
  2. Congrats on the car and getting into J school..this is in Kentucky? Good luck w/ the car and school. Those Astras are pretty sharp, don't see them very often.
  3. And of course rental car companies have arbitrary definitions of full size...the Alamo area for full size at O'Hare last week was full of mid size Malibus...were only two Impalas left when I got there Friday afternoon, was lucky to snag one.
  4. Interesting...I think I saw this on a TV show a while back, the classic car show w/ the guy w/ the funny mustache I think..
  5. The magazine reviews I've read and Autoblog one I listened to for the Malibu haven't been that glowing so far..
  6. Hmm...is it a GM product?
  7. Cool Mini. The Toy Barn looks like a fun dealer to browse...
  8. They already have a 5dr...the Countryman..they need another?
  9. Definitely..dark red, dark blue, dark brown or dark gray for me...
  10. Sounds like he didn't follow the right procedures to get it in the country and register it legally. There are many Skylines in the US that have been imported (often by importers like Moto Rex) so there is obviously a right way to do it..
  11. In the Holden pics, I like the gold one w/ the sunroof and fog lights, body color mirrors and handles..and the wheels on the black one.
  12. Akkkk.....thud. Lola T70....wow...and in the yellow it resembles the Ecurie Bonnier livery..
  13. I voted yes, though I'd need to get rid of the black doorhandles and mirrors, the bland wheels (needs black steelies) and try and spruce up the drab gray interior.
  14. They probably blew through a lot of their money on alcohol, drugs, etc during their party hardy years..
  15. Nice to see more coupes in the market...it will be interesting to see if the metal looks like a 2dr version of the GS or if they give it some uniqueness...
  16. ..which leads to a naming conundrum for Cadillac if they decide to have a model below the ATS..
  17. Interesting..I wonder if they are going to use the FWD platform only for the next-gen 1-series hatchbacks, and the other bodystyles will be RWD. I've also read that the next coupe and convertible will be badged as 2-series.
  18. Maybe made it smoother and a bit quicker? I really didn't think about the engine or transmission. It drove fine...
  19. Those were neat looking cars...based on an Opel even then, I think...and the Brazilian version was the Chevy Opala. Not sure, but they appear to be slightly bigger than a Nova in size.
  20. Well, they had the Neon SRT. And Ford has the Focus ST coming...
  21. Not really..the main thing I've noticed is the deletion of the chrome strip on the decklid and the grille texture change.
  22. Happy Birthday!
  23. Had another Impala rental this Memorial Day Weekend, and like Memorial Day Weekend last year, it was white..but this time w/ a sunroof, rear spoiler, and a dark charcoal interior...picked it up at Chicago O'Hare Friday afternoon and put about 500 uneventful miles on it. Nice cold air con in warm, humid Illinois/Indiana weather. Had to jog my memory, but I think this was the 10th Impala of this generation I've rented over the last few years..
  24. I've read somewhere that a chrome bumper was an option in '68.
  25. I should have 2 free places in the back driveway once my sister unloads her Benzes...then I can store the Jeep back there until I get out of AZ...
