  1. I never got into vinyl as a kid, went from cassettes to CDs in the late '80s...but I did get into vinyl around 2000, I like the large format of the packaging and have bought a few records...have a record player in my home theatre component set that I use occasionally.
  2. Saw a beige 4x4 early '60s Dodge Power Wagon wagon...big humpy thing that kind of resembled a mid-50s Suburban style body.
  3. Didn't some of the '40s-50s vintage wagons also have tailights that swung down when the tailgate was open (along w/ the license plate)? I think I've seen pics of something like that..
  4. Sounds like a money pit in the making..
  5. I've avoided the chains like Jiffy Lube, Brakes Plus, etc for years and stick w/ a good local independent shop.
  6. They could use a head-up display to show ads on the windshield as the car drives you...
  7. I remember this car appearing in Motor Trend in '77...neat concept.
  8. Interesting...wonder why the headlights are red.
  9. Hot Wheels must be fairly popular in Brazil...this is at least the 3rd or 4th Brazil-market car they've done in recent years along (the others were VWs).
  10. Sweet...haven't seen those..the green car is a Brazilian Chevy Opala SS....similar to the Opel Rekord/Commodore and Holden Monaro of around 1969. I found a few new HW Boulevard and Hot Ones models at Target today, incl. the Boulevard '68 Olds 442 and '70 GTO.
  11. I've been on the sections in Kingman and Holbrook AZ, also seen the endpoint marker in Santa Monica, CA...
  12. The most basic 3-series sedan starts at $34,900, so I would think that would be target, maybe undercutting it a bit. $26k is Chevy or Buick FWD territory, can't see the ATS going that low.
  13. They now have 2 of those 'Cars and Coffee' events around here...will have to go to one sometime.
  14. Wow...I couldn't imagine life w/o coffee...I normally have 3-4 cups every morning. I recently got a Keurig single cup machine for home, was impressed w/ the one at work. Also have a cappichino machine and a regular coffee maker at home. But the ease of the drive thru is hard to avoid, w/ 3 Starbucks, a Dunkin Donuts, and a couple McDonalds all close to home..
  15. Interesting....speaking of tractors, was GM ever in the farm equipment biz back in the early days?
  16. HSV Grange. (a cool Holden Caprice variation)
  17. Would be more interesting without the wierd customizing.
  18. When I was growing up, my folks always had Snapper riding mowers...the newer ones had a battery and key start...I like Snappers because they are rear engined and RWD.. IIRC, they had self-propelled Sears push mowers for light-duty work also.
  19. Today was a bit 'cooler', mid 90s after 3 100+ degree days. Too soon for summer...
  20. Can't tell if the headlights are on or those are pool lights...neat pool.
  21. Non-sequitor thread? I have some content in my shed..leaf blower, hoses, pool supplies, battery charger, etc...but I keep it locked...
  22. Hard to tell, but the front looks pretty tall and flat...should have made it more rounded like the new Colorado..
  23. Scion has always seemed somewhat redundant, what with similar compacts and subcompacts available as Toyotas (Corolla, Yaris, Matrix).
  24. Beautiful car...I love the bubbletop, the rear quarters and the skegs..so cool.
