  1. Don't care for the purple, like the wheels though. Get rid of the Halloween junk, put a back seat in, paint it a late '50s color scheme like coral and white and it would make a nice wagon..
  2. That looks very much like the one that was here in my 'hood in Phoenix about 4 years ago...
  3. The G8 was based on the '06 era VE series Commodore, I've read that the '14 will be have an MCE (VF) so I'm assuming the interior will be refreshed.. Here's an article on the VF, sounds like lots of updates are expected... http://news.drive.com.au/drive/motor-news/vf-commodore-a-massive-update-20120322-1vlw9.html
  4. Sweet...neat to see one w/ cloth and w/o woodgrain.
  5. That's the Colorado one I saw back around '99...
  6. I like this...my favorite year of Impala and favorite bodystyle...and I like brown (original paint). http://www.oldride.com/classic_cars/241961.html
  7. My brother had a red '74 Vega GT w/ a 350 for a little while in the late '70s...don't recall what he traded it on...
  8. Could be...the slant 6 came out I believe the same year as unit bodies at Dodge and Plymouth (1960), so it may have been part of an effort to make the cars lower...also was used in the new-for-60 and painfully ugly Valiant.
  9. Looks like it's got a cassette deck....I could hook my iPod up w/ a cassette adapter, put on a lot of early '80s New Wave, post-punk and '80s Brit Invasion music, a Members Only jacket (had a brown one and a gray one back in the day), and Ray Bans and 'ooze down the street in a gray Cadillac'...
  10. Neat..those '71-72 Sprints seem rather scarce...I think I've only seen one in person (a silver '71 SP-454 at a car show about 12-13 years ago).
  11. The Vega has potential..ditch the window tint and '80s wheels (needs Cragar SS for that '70s look). That '69 Plymouth Fury convertible in the background looks interesting..
  12. I've thought about getting 'CUBELFE'. But I don't always have a cube w/ every gig.. One of the best I've seen is 'GEEKSTA' on a Suburban in Denver.
  13. Nice... I like the '71 and '72 front ends more than the '73 (awkward bumper, IMO).. regarding Balthy's comment, I think the tallness of the '71 front end and how far the headlights are inset from the edges may make the front look narrower from some angles.
  14. These are just FWD midsize sedan appliances, though...I doubt if very many of their buyers can even comprehend the difference between a 4 or 6.
  15. kelp
  16. chard
  17. Very sharp...great condition and colors.
  18. I definitely want to check it out...I like the '11+ Charger quite a bit, would like to compare this..
  19. How are the ergonomics and controls? Adjustability? Headroom? Cupholders?
  20. <cynical-realist> Congress is doing what is good for the insurance companies...corrupt corporations that buy politicians. They don't have any incentive to do what is good for the public, since the public isn't financing their campaigns. </cynical-realist>
  21. (Faraday cages are good places to hang out while wearing your tinfoil hat..protected from mind probes)
  22. I can't imagine that kind of thinking today. Today the general thought is more like 'whatever..I don't agree with what you say, so F you..."
  23. If you feel secure in your rights, well good for you. However, those rights have been violated many, many times in our history. The recent past shows multiple, glaring, examples of purely unconstitutional legislation being codified into law. It's the way of aging republics - history shows this clearly, and we are not immune. Eventually this experiment that is the US will run it's course...hopefully, it won't be in my lifetime.
  24. I have a feeling that eventually insurance companies will pull something like they do with home insurance... so that if you don't have updated electrical, they won't insure your house. At some point, this logic applied to "features" like ABS, TC, black boxes, etc. will make it difficult to insure a car with standard insurance... relegating older cars to limited mileage collector insurance. Is that somehow NOT a chipping away of personal freedom?? Personal freedom doesn't count for much in a corporatocracy as we have today...we the people are the product as much as the products companies make...government for the companies, not the people.
