Yes...pet projects are great if you have the time, disposable money, motivation, and space to work on them. They have to come secondary to a reliable daily driver. Mine are in storage about 2000 miles away..don't have the space or time to deal with them currently. -

Someone brought up Monte Carlo as a possible name, which makes sense given the NASCAR angle. I guess we just have to wait and see.. -
Good news, though I'd like to see manuals offered in more cars...and not just relegated to a base model..they should be available across a range.

The CTS coupe was out as a single last year in silver, don't know if there have been any single recolors yet. The CTS-V wagon has been out in red.

Have to disagree with you, the V series should always be luxury Performance, no just Luxury. Otherwise you dilute the Brand. People think of V as performance with a touch of Luxury and that is where it should stay be it having a Turbo 4 or Turbo v6 Agreed... for non-performance luxury, Cadillac has the 'Platinum' name it can use. 'V-series' is akin to 'M' or 'AMG'--serious performance w/ luxury.

I still frequent the local record store chain (Zia) to look for new and used CDs.. I know it's certainly easier to order something off Amazon or download MP3s through iTunes or Amazon, but I enjoy going and browsing through the stacks. I miss Tower Records stores---used to frequent one in Ann Arbor and Denver when I lived in those cities, even went to one in Sacramento that was supposed to be the original. A2 and Denver also have/had several good local independent record stores.

I'd imagine something like that wouldn't be legal by the '80s-90s.. I'm not talking about the light, per se, but the swivel up license plate. Both the '80s Crown Vic wagons and the '91-on B-bodies wagons have the fold down tailgate with the license plate on it... how is that a legal solution, knowing full well that people use the wagons with the tailgates down? Is it legal to drive a wagon w/ the taillgate down?

On the '49s, I wonder why they mounted the taillight like that instead of vertical lights on the ends of the rear quarter panels...they are wide enough.

Nothing is ringing a bell with me on that- would like to see some pics if you remember what it/they were. Tails on the tailgate is unusual for that period. I love detail stuff like this... Not a GM, but the '49-51 Ford wagons appear to work that way... Hard to see in this ad, but the tailight is hanging down under the open tailgate... Here's another pic like that.. htt Looks like teh '49 Chevy wagon may have worked the same way, note the location of the taillight

That Isolation from society in a metal and plastic cocoon is what will be humanity's downfall If we stop interacting, then how does one learn to get along with others. I interact w/ resources when I'm at work or home, don't need to whilst commuting to and from work...I like my car/SUV to be my zone of quiet or a place for listening to my own choice of music/news for an hour or so every day...and I don't need Google to do the the driving for me.

I never got into vinyl as a kid, went from cassettes to CDs in the late '80s...but I did get into vinyl around 2000, I like the large format of the packaging and have bought a few records...have a record player in my home theatre component set that I use occasionally.

Saw a beige 4x4 early '60s Dodge Power Wagon wagon...big humpy thing that kind of resembled a mid-50s Suburban style body.

Didn't some of the '40s-50s vintage wagons also have tailights that swung down when the tailgate was open (along w/ the license plate)? I think I've seen pics of something like that..

I've avoided the chains like Jiffy Lube, Brakes Plus, etc for years and stick w/ a good local independent shop. -
They could use a head-up display to show ads on the windshield as the car drives you...

Hot Wheels must be fairly popular in Brazil...this is at least the 3rd or 4th Brazil-market car they've done in recent years along (the others were VWs).

Sweet...haven't seen those..the green car is a Brazilian Chevy Opala SS....similar to the Opel Rekord/Commodore and Holden Monaro of around 1969. I found a few new HW Boulevard and Hot Ones models at Target today, incl. the Boulevard '68 Olds 442 and '70 GTO.

The most basic 3-series sedan starts at $34,900, so I would think that would be target, maybe undercutting it a bit. $26k is Chevy or Buick FWD territory, can't see the ATS going that low.
