  1. Sounds like it's sharing it's platform and drivetrain w/ the Volt, which was expected.
  2. Ok..not light. Chalk it up to German solidity..
  3. 3864lbs is light for a CUV. Neat design, lots of interesting details inside and out..better looking than the bland Tiguan.
  4. Interesting...almost has a Ford-like face...based on the specs, it seems like it could be a lot of fun. Subaru will probably do a higher powered version eventually (WRX Sti engine, maybe?)
  5. 3 would probably be a handful.
  6. Would be an interesting starting point to build something using a Prius drivetrain, or a Lexus IS-F drivetrain. Keep it all Toyota, sell the big block to a Chevy fan. A Chevy engine in anything not GM is just so wrong, IMO (excluding speciality cars that came w/ Chevy engines like the Iso Grifo in the 60s).
  7. That's cool..don't think I've ever seen a Roadmaster limo.
  8. That was a Hot Wheels car...they made it in a couple different colors. Tomica also made a Seville, smaller scale than the HW, w/ opening front doors..
  9. Well, Jeep has done the compact 4dr convertible SUV, but I'd really like to see a 4dr convertible full size sedan w/ 4wd (and lots of ground clearance..)
  10. Some really cool details...like the ram emblem w/ wings on each side above the bumper...interesting..so Dodge had the ram brand imagery that far back..
  11. Well, the bumper does need to extend out past the decklid/hatch to protect the decklid/hatch from damage in low speed crashes..
  12. Found a few HWs that were new to me...a silver and red '68 Nova and a silver '69 Chevelle in the Garage series, and in the Hot Ones series, a yellow '80 El Camino and a grey '84 Grand Prix stock car.
  13. Wierd..very wierd. Instead of a flat roof, would have worked better w/ a peaked roof w/ shingles, eaves, an attic, gutters and a downspout.
  14. The Regal would be a natural, since the Insginia is offered w/ a diesel in Europe, and I'm sure the Malibu will be in some markets.
  15. I'd like to drive a modern diesel... the only diesel I had extensive experience was an '84 Escort 2.0. I've had a couple diesel rentals in Europe in '03 and '04 (Merc A-class and C-class)..
  16. They get under your skin...part of the family. Emotionally been a rough afternoon. We still have 4 terriers at home... Madeline a 12 yr old Westie--- And the black and tans--Ginny---5lb Yorkie, Nauti (aka Bitey Beast)--an Aussie, and Tinky, a Silky rescue.. I grew up w/ big dogs and small dogs--folks had German Shepherds, Dobermans, Cairn Terriers and Schnauzers....it's never easy to lose one..
  17. The funny thing is the only two times I've ever seen Maybachs the were in use as hotel limos...once at the Luxor in Las Vegas, and once at a hotel in Beverly Hills.
  18. I've had a diesel before, would definitely consider one again...
  19. Mac had been going down hill for sometime from cancer, losing weight, no energy, going blind. He was a shadow of his former, fiesty self. He will be missed.
  20. If the Crue diesel puts up say 50 mpg with equal acceleration to the gas version it may catch on. But I wonder if it is easier to sell diesels to in the luxury price range where people are more likely to spend the extra money for the extra torque. I don't think most people buy diesels in *cars* for the torque, i think most just think of them the same as hybrids, better gas mileage Probably....most general public buyers don't have any idea what 'torque' is.
  21. Food coma...watching reruns of 'Chasing Classic Cars' on Velocity
  22. Didn't realize the T&C outsold the GC 2 to 1....seem to recall Chrysler used to have the least sales of their minivans. It makes sense, though, consolidate with one and reduce marketing/etc costs...
  23. I read somewhere that most 2013 Malibus available in 2012 would be the ECO trim level.
  24. Meow...'Lynx' would be a good name for a small cat-named car brand.
