  1. But why even bother? The A4, 328i, and C250 all have turbo 4's standard. The ATS should make the thro 4 standard. Who wants a Cadillac with a base model Malibu engine? Even if it has 210 hp who cares, it won't have the 252 lb-ft an A4 has. The 2.5 will be for the entry level model I assume so they can keep the starting price at 29,995. Again, it is a Cadillac, cheap isn't supposed to be what they are selling. 328i starts at $34,600, the C250 starts at $34,800. I'd say $34,700 would be a nice starting point for the 2.0T and dump the 2.5. It's GM though..if they don't undercut the competition, people will whine....it also has to compete w/ the 1-series and the upcoming A-class...
  2. Interesting..didn't realize they still made the Pathfinder..it and the Xterra and the Armada seem invisible in the market...
  3. It wouldn't surprise me if the new V8 replaces that one also.
  4. Stop it with the obsessing about the past engine choices. The point of the thread is the new engine. Lots of improvements.
  5. The greenhouse reminds me a lot of the Ram.

  7. Was just speculation...it just seems for most engines, there are power rating variations for different models.
  8. Why just 317 from the LFX when it makes 323 in the Camaro? I would agree, and hope that you're right, on the 2.5. Probably different intake or exhaust..and the Camaro is probably 300-500lbs heavier, so it needs more power..
  9. Cool..let us know what you think of it..been hearing a lot of good pre-release buzz about this phone
  10. Maybe the base engine will be the new 2.0 turbo...
  11. It does seem odd that Buick will have a compact CUV and Chevy doesn't... unless Chevy will also get a version of this later.
  12. Cool...I've read about them in CA, don't think I've ever seen one in person...interesting how the taillights extend way up the rear quarters...not unlike a detail seen on some cars today. What is that engine...a flat 6?
  13. I assume they will also have a diesel for Europe.
  14. Looking forward to those...recently found the HW '12 Camaro ZL1..
  15. Greenhouse looks like the XTS.
  16. Will be interesting to see a comparo w/ this and the Cruze and Focus...
  17. Noticed that...wonder if there is going to be a hatchback version or the sedan will have a rear wiper available..it's been done before, but uncommon...
  18. Actually, Bentley only has the old school pushrod engine in their senior Mulsanne line..the younger, hipper Continental models have a DOHC W12 and now this new V8..
  19. Fun..how high did you get on that flight?
  20. You would think death traps like the Astro/Safari van and last generation Blazer and Jimmy would be near the top of the list.
  21. Slow news time of the year...this kind of stuff always comes out in December.
  22. Wasn't the '70 Buick 455 Stage 1 like one of GM's highest rated engines of that era in terms of torque? Like over 500 lbs-ft?
  23. Hmm...guess by badging it as an SRT Viper they don't have to deal w/ the Dodge brand issue in markets where Dodge doesn't exist (i.e. outside NA)...IIRC, the previous model was called the Chrysler SRT10 in some markets.
  24. Cool..those remind me of some that I've seen on a ridge outside Prescott, AZ...about a dozen or so '50s-60s Chevy and GMC trucks in a row, incl. a '57 GMC panel..
