  1. I could see him working for Google on search algorithms and analytics...
  2. Sharp...good luck w/ it, hope it gives you years of reliable service.
  3. It is Friday...I've got that silly, catchy pop song Friday stuck in my head after watching the video cover of it by Stephen Colbert/Jimmy Fallon/Taylor Hicks. (I wonder how a Slipknot cover of this song would sound?) This is freakin' brilliant, IMO...just a lot of fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLAMhTorPCk
  4. The price is amazing...can kind of look at this as a 390hp V8 RWD full size 2dr coupe w/ a large trunk... for about 10k less than the Challenger.. Of course, it probably weighs 1000-2000lbs more than a V8 Challenger, but the price to hp ratio is great. In a world of $25k FWD 4cyl generics, this is impressive.
  5. Being that the Crown Vic parts are leading the car, I suppose that's more of a Crown Marquis. Yeah...still has the Ford oval in the grille and the Mercury badge on the back..

It's apparenly based off an '80s vintage Opel Senator.. Daewoo Imperial The wiki pic's look like a Ford Fairmont roof in the rear or a Plymouth Caravele, those later models sure look like the Chrysler Imperial & New Yorker padded roofs. Yeah, the wiki pics are of the Royale, which was basically an unchanged Opel Senator...sound like with the Imperial Daewoo went w/ unique sheetmetal..
  7. There is a gold Grand Vic around here...a mid '90s Grand Marquis w/ a late model Crown Vic front end..
  8. I believe he went so far out there as to compare to the SS. I think when Goebbels Beck goes to sleep, he can hear a billion big ol' Nazi boots marching down a hardwood floor. LoL...got the new Rolling Stone in the mail today, skimmed an article about a guy named Alex Jones--even more paranoid than Beck, makes Beck look mellow.. Anyway, back to the thread subject--the math whiz kid is incredible..just hope he takes some time to do normal kid things as he grows up and doesn't end up a mess...

It went back further, but I think earlier ventures were sold only in SK or other Asian markets...they also had a version of the T-car similar to the the I-Mark.
  10. Sweet...I'd like to see it in black w/ black wheels..or dark gray.
  11. It will be interesting to see what happens...maybe they will do an over-the-top Camaro ZR-1 w/ the LS9 engine, to compete w/ the upcoming 800hp Shelby Super Snake. A Z-28 has been rumored, as a Boss 302 competitor slotting between the SS and ZL1.
  12. This reminds me..I went to grad school w/ one that drove a Justy. Haven't seen a Subaru Justy in years..

  14. Still amazed you had never heard of him, though...it's like not knowing who is President...do you ever read a newspaper (print or online)...he's been in the news so much that he's hard to avoid if you pay attention to national-level current events at all...
  15. Comedian. Author. Radio talk show host. TV show host on Faux News. You'd have to have been under a rock the last 5 years or so not to have heard of him... he's not been on fox that long... CNN called him employee for a while before fox Yes..was on CNN..been on Fox a couple years now. Thanks all, No I have not been under a rock, but I do not watch TV or listen to public radio. I have my satellite dedicated music channels in my ESV and I work long days as a computer engineer, so I have never heard of this Beck person. Remember Washington State is a small place Plus I would rather be in the mountains skiing as much as possible or on the lake boating and fishing. He's from Washington State originally, by the way.
  16. Getting the younger demographic into Corvettes is going to be a challenge...anecdotally, my friends under 40 that have performance or sporty cars have cars like the WRX, M3, Boxster, G37, 350Z..and they are far outnumbered by the Toyota driving (Prius/Camry/Corolla) car-as-appliance crowd...
  17. Decals for the sides of the hood bulge... hood spear decals
  18. Window is too small to be a Mustang...I'm thinking Impala or Subaru Legacy. Hmmm...looks like frameless doorglass, so Legacy seems more likely..
  19. Not true. Youngsters just need the right job... something involving some chemistry and Pseudoephedrine... actually, now that I think of it, probably your best time to "save up" for a Corvette that way would be before it stays on your adult record... Heh-heh...a legal way kiddies can make decent coin involves using Ruby on Rails, Groovy, or Clojure, or the old standby 3 Ps-- PHP, Perl and Python...
  20. Given the coming EPA standards, an SS version of the Spark or Aveo will be the aspirational halo car for kids in the future.
  21. I do wonder if Ford will find another application for the 5.0...so far, it's only been a one car engine...
  22. I think the Subaru WRX is the hyperactive car for the Red Bull set...
  23. Interesting idea...however, when Porsche and BMW build stripped down track-oriented models, they cost considerably more than the usual loaded versions...
  24. I don't know about the Camero, but it wouldn't have to compete w/ the Camaro...it could give GM a Miata competitor, where the Kappa tried to go. The Camaro is a hefty, muscular 4 seat sports coupe/convertible, a totally different flavor of performance car than a small, nimble 2 seat sports car.
