  1. curious if you could name a few of those boxes...? They are kind of obvious, aren't they? Parties, economic and political philosophies.. Democrat, Republican, etc parties capitalist, socialist, objectivist, etc economic philosophies Liberal/progressive, moderate, conservative, liberatarian, etc political philosophies realist, idealist, delusionist, etc worldviews......
  2. The bedcover w/ Avalanche-y hoop is just showcar glitz, I assume..that reminds me of the recent Malooo ute.
  3. I would assume the production model will continue to be BOF. Haven't heard anything about powertrains..I assume diesels outside NA, but will the 5 cyl return or will it be 4cyl and V6 for NA?
  4. Saw the pics of the undisguised concept (a gold extended cab w/ a bed cover)....very nice, very modern, looks much more upscale than the homely current model.

    Karaoke

It's been a while since I've done Karaoke, but I've had fun w/ it in the past after a few beers..Styx's Mr Roboto was a favorite, or anything by Def Leppard or AC/DC sung in a William Shatner style voice (w/ dramatic pauses).
  6. Then of course there's the prepubescent girl who goes by the name Justin Bieber. I can't wait for the televised Quinceañera. Maybe he will do an image makeover when he turns 18..shave his head or get a mowhawk, tats, wierd random piercings, and rebrand himself as a punk rocker or death metal 'artist'...
  7. Rear cupholders take care of that. I really should take my Jeep and get the interior detailed..haven't vacuumed it in over 4 years, lots of dog hair, french fries, coins, etc in the carpet..
  8. I wonder when Bieber will do an album w/ Nickelback or Celine Dion.
  9. I require center armrests--both front and back. I don't need one in the back..I don't ride there, but one in the front is definitely a must have..
  10. He already has a G8 GXP, probably doesn't need another 4dr. I thought he has a Grand Prix GXP? He did..thought he traded that on a G8 GXP last year..not sure.

  12. Pointy..I like the styling direction Ford has been going lately w/ their small cars. Good luck w/ it.
  13. A quieter sports car makes a better commuter car and long distance road trip car. The horrific seats (or so I've heard) probably limit the ZR-1s daily driver usability. Both are interesting cars, though..wouldn't kick either out of my garage.. I would certainly never own any of these for the purpose of being commuter cars. Nor would I take it on long distance road trips where I get to crap my pants at rock chips beating away at my hood and bumper. I personally can't afford either, one can dream That's the beauty of the 911, it makes a great daily driver and road trip car..reliable, solid and drivable (though I would think a GT3 or a GT3 RS would be too hardcore for that).. I know people that drive 'em day in, day out in any kind of weather...(a buddy in Denver has a Boxster S as his commuter car..if it snows too much, he works from home). If I had a sports car, I'd drive it as much as possible..esp. on road trips, avoiding the interstates and seeking out twisty back roads.
  14. I know they made a Jade Gray and a darker Green for the Fleetwood but I am unaware of a green factory interior, to my knowledge there were only six colors (Black, Blue, Gray, Neutral, Red, Burgundy). Perhaps Derek has some light to shed on this. Depending on the light, the light gray (especially with a green exterior) can seem to have a green hue. No green, otherwise. That's probably what it was..it was partially overcast late afternoon and I had my Ray Bans on...

  17. Perfect for St. Patty's day, or the day after, was a very clean triple dark green (paint, padded top, interior) mid '90s Caddy Fleetwood Brougham...sweet. Also drove by a business w/ a fleet of 3 pristine two-tone blue Chevy work trucks w/ Knapheide-style utiliy beds. What caught my eye were they were all 71-72 vintage pickups!
  18. The rear with the two-toning and lower cladding reminds me of the old Mazda pickup from the '80s.
  19. I've seen a few Fiestas on the road, and a few in parking lots..not many yet. Haven't seen any '12 Focuses out and about..didn't realize it was on sale yet.
  20. There are 6 or 8 Fiestas in a row at the local Ford store...I think half are magenta, half are that bright green...2/3s hatches.
  21. Wow...first time in a long time an updated GM (or most any) car lost weight..
  22. Saw a strange truck thingy today...had a Chevy Topkick front end (windshield, nose) on a Chevy Step Van style body, with the sliding doors, etc. Never seen one like that. Saw a very clean dark gold w/ beige vinyl top early '70s Firebird Esprit 350. Saw a badly painted two tone (dark red/silver) '68 Caddy Sedan de Ville w/ 'DUB' badges but normal wheels and tires. Strange. Saw a well worn '10 Camaro SS--black, with a lot of scratches, dings, and dents down the left side..
  23. How's the acceleration? from a stop? 30-70? up hills? handling? How does it hang when drifting through reducing radius corners? Brakes? Cupholders? Seat adjustability? Steering feel? That's one car I'd love to drive...would even look past the huge butt and tiny windows...the smooth, twisting backroads of Eastern Ohio (in Tuscarawas, Holmes, Coshocton, and Carroll Counties in particular) would be a perfect playground for it..
  24. They could ride the bus...
  25. No inspections in AZ...I've seen cars driving around w/ no hood, no front fenders, no bumper, w/ lights somehow attached sort of the radiator support..there is a 1st gen Taurus and an early 90s T-Bird I see once in a while like that.. I saw a Saturn coupe the other morning with the passenger side rear quarter and door cracked out, the plastic flapping in big chunks...
