  1. Probably a few more, but they would all be retired and living in AZ or Florida.. j/k I'd love to have a new Crown Vic/Grand Marquis sized RWD equivalent from Ford, full sized w/ the new 5.0 V8 and 2011 era interior content (Sync, etc). notgonnahappen.com.
  2. I saw the '12 Focus sedan at the auto show last weekend...looks to be pretty nicely done..saw the '11 Elantra and Cruze also.
  3. Hopefully stretched and widened...the Fusion currently is pretty narrow..
  4. Meh...that's just a truck. And they have buckets up front.
  5. And the Fifth Ave wasn't even a full size, it was more of a small midsize (the M-body was derived from the F-body Aspen/Volare, which were considered compacts). Times change...bench seats and big trunks have been on the way out for a long time, with the Ford Panther models and the DTS and Lucerne being the last to have such features.
  6. I like it..not as slab sided as it's predecessor. Looking forward to seeing this and the Charger in person.
  7. With Mazda and Volvo out of the picture, I wonder what Ford's plans for their next gen mid and full size cars are...
  8. Saw a Cruze for the first time on the road today..a silver one...not bad.
  9. Isn't yours the previous generation (GMT-800)? With each successive redesign, it seems weight is added to most vehicles.
  10. Daymn...that is one obese truck....20 years ago, a 4x4 crew cab was what, under 5000lbs? Insane...no MPG rating..wierd...what's the MPG--10 city, 12 highway?
  11. terrier
  12. I wonder what the story was behind those....GMC dealers wanted a cheap model to compete w/ Chevy dealers? Strange...
  13. Not to change the thread subject, but for a bit of trivia, anyone know when did GMC stop using Pontiac V8s or GMC 6s and switch to Chevy engines in their light duty trucks?
  14. On the other hand, I don't like the idea of secret diplomatic documents being stolen and released...that's unethical journalism. I wouldn't be surprised of Julian Assange ends up disapeared courtesy of the CIA.
  15. I wasn't surprised...I suspect many Middle Eastern countries, esp. those that have a lot of financial/business ties to the West, aren't too happy about the prospect of an armed and dangerous Iran...
  16. Interesting...the one I drove a few months ago seemed pretty buttoned down, the steering was light, but didn't seem overly artificial. I liked the hefty feel and size of the car...I got to drive it on a mix of So Cal freeways, city streets, and twisty canyon roads..only really noticed the FWD when I squealed the tires on a couple corners. I'd love to drive a SHO, though..sat in one yesterday, with the saddle suede seat and door inserts...love the interior.
  17. Saw another Lincoln Blackwood today...and a couple base '10 Camaros, a red one and a white one, both w/ the black steelies w/ trim rings.
  18. I bet that driveway is fun in the winter when it's covered in ice.
  19. Saw one today..not bad. Saw and sat in the Equus, that is pretty nice in a garish sort of way.
  20. The XJ-C was only built from '75-78..pretty rare. Would look better w/o the lame blackout, though. They came w/ vinyl tops standard (because otherwise the roof paint would crack since they were a 2dr ht). I think the XJ-C was Jaguar's only 2dr ht ever..
  21. Let's see...some typical road test questions--how is it to parallel park? How is the rear and side visibility? How are the cupholders? Seat adjustability? I bet the turning radius is huge...
  22. Saw a silver current gen Merc E-class wagon yesterday. Sweet. Didn't realize MB was selling the current gen wagon in the US.
  23. Too far to drive to for a long weekend for me..heading off to the airport to fly to Ohio later...
  24. Speaking of Pontiacs, one model that I've only seen once in person is a '67 2+2..great looking big car. Saw a black one in Ohio at a show maybe 20 years ago. I've also seen a sharp gold '64 Parisienne convertible in Denver a few times.
  25. Curious...the only racing context I recall reading of older Cadillacs in was the Carrera Panamerica and Le Mans in the early '50s.
