  1. When I was in jr high ('82-84) and high school ('84-88) they were very popular...parachute pants were popular then also. And Izod shirts w/ the little alligator.
  2. Auggh... back in the day, I had a brown Members Only jacket, wore it when rollin' in my 5.0.
  3. yard service guys
  4. I think the dash is straight out of the Passat..
  5. Seemed to be videos of '60 Plymouths, '64 Plymouths, and '67 Fords..didn't notice '68 GM products.
  6. Tonight I saw two white Nissan Cubes on a lot, first I've seen of them, parked next to a gray 370Z. Saw a gray '10 Mustang GT in traffic...looking good.
  7. Yeah, another car I like a lot that has a similar vibe to the greenhouse is the Peugeot 607..I've seen a couple in Europe, they are pretty sleek.
  8. Speaking of Panteras, I recall 25+ years ago down in the Florida Keys seeing a rusty white Pantera and a faded orange Bricklin parked next to a house, the weeds growing up around them...
  9. It's a car that looks outstanding in the right color. I saw a black one w/ blacked out windows a couple months ago up close, and it's sharp. Speaking of sleek 4drs, I kind of wish Chrysler had some updated 3rd gen LHes these days..those cars can still look great, 10 years on, IMHO.
  10. No surprise Las Vegas is on the list...surprised Phoenix isn't on the list--disgusting climate, hideous tan desert sh*t.. I spent a lot of time in Cleveland when I was in college and grad school back in the '90s... lived in the Detroit area after that, but Ann Arbor is a world apart. Portland is one of the places I've been to a few times and kind of like, thought about moving there or Seattle, San Diego, Columbus, or Pittsburgh, besides Denver which is my Plan A.
  11. American
  12. Yeah, I know.. I'd love to go to a C&G meetup at something like the GM Nats at Carlisle! We have a few interesting winter events out here (Barrett-Jackson, etc) but nothing in the summer.
  13. I'm only 2384 miles from Philly. But my Mustangs are about 75 miles from Pittsburgh Int'l Airport..
  14. Saw a primered '73-75 or so Chevy pickup with a '99-06 style Chevy stepside bed. Interesting.
  15. Oysters Rob
  16. Cool... I'd like to see that drivetrain in a current Suburban...a Suburban ZR1 would be so cool.
  17. cheese
  18. I'm not jealous, I just don't like his hypocrisy...he was doing nothing but running down Holden and the G8 for months (years?) and now he buys one.
  19. India (origin of many great curries)
  20. It's very nice..I've bought a 1/2 dozen of them, plan to use the 6.1 Hemi in ProTouring style builds of vintage Mopars. They have an '09 Challenger SRT8 kit coming this summer. And as far as GM kits go, in the last 6 months or so, Revell has issued a nice '57 Chevy 150 2dr sedan w/ a 'Black Widow' NASCAR version, a '69 Nova SS350, a '69 Yenko Nova, and coming this fall/winter are a '66 Chevy Impala SS and a '72 Olds Cutlass Hurst/Olds convertible, really looking forward to those.
  21. Not to mention the Japanese car kits, which are anywhere from $25-50 in the US or more. Though I buy mine from a dealer in Japan, so even w/ the shipping, I save $10-15 on a typical kit--like the recent Tamiya Nissan GT-R (R35).
  22. '00 Grand Cherokee--almost 100k miles. Daily driver currently, want to replace w/ something new in the next couple years. But keep the Jeep for winter use. '87 Mustang GT and '69 Mustang are once-in-a while fun cars. I'm currently 2000 miles from them, but plan to fix that within the next year. Also want to get a new fun car within the next couple years.
  23. Not me.. I'm content w/ my 19 mpg SUV now, next new car will be something that gets 22-25mpg max.
  24. If I had any first gen F-body, I'd want a Vedoro green '68 Firebird 400 ht and my brothers' Le Mans Blue '68 Camaro SS396 (wish he had kept it).
  25. Oracle (Oracle bought Sun recently)
