  1. With the red interior, several colors for the exterior could work..white, black, silver, red, dark gray or maroon..(the last 2 would be my choices).
  2. I haven't been back to SE Michigan in almost 10 years..I remember Ann Arbor being a nice college town from when I lived there...don't recall much of the Detroit area and it's suburbs, just seems like a lot was gray and decaying, at least in the mid '90s..vaguely remember some places in Ypsilanti, Warren, Livonia...went up to Flint a couple times. Malls in Farmington Hills, Auburn Hills. I have a couple hazy memories of pleasant summer drives around the thumb. Speaking of the Rust Belt, I'm always amazed at how green and pretty rural Eastern Ohio is when I'm back there...I should be driving my Mustangs on some rolling hills and winding roads in Amish country in a couple days..
  3. Not surprising...while the Detroit area has been decaying and dying as have 'old time' manufacturing industries, the San Jose area (Silicon Valley) has been growing and thriving with the rise of Internet technologies and knowledge worker industries...one place represents the past, the other the present..
  4. WOW....I'm shocked...I had assumed GM would scrap Zeta and use Epsilon II in it's place in the future..
  5. Interesting...is that styrofoam behind the firewall? I'll admit I know nothing about R/C aircraft. (Plastic model cars and diecast cars are my big hobbies).
  6. That rocks!
  7. If you could to mix and match, my ideal would be the Mustang interior, Camaro powertrain and suspension, and Challenger styling..
  8. I thought the 500/Montego had CVTs.
  9. More to the point, though, when did the Camry, Altima, and Accord have them? And GM still has mainstream midsizers with 4spd automatics..
  10. I had Pike's Peak as a view out my home office window for 5 years..went to the top a couple times (drove and took the train) thread answer: affirmative
  11. One thing about the Goodyears I've had is that they wear well...I rotate them at every oil change (3k), and my original set of Wranglers lasted 48k miles...I've got about 20k on the Fortera Triple Treads, and they still look pretty close to new..
  12. Colorado River
  13. D-divorced or divorcee. I've dated DILFs (divorced, but no kids). But not DMILFs. Response to thread: London Bridge
  14. Ahh..flying at night..so you were following IFR and not VFR?
  15. pointy
  16. hurl
  17. Probably some versions of IE don't automatically add the 'www.' I just type cheersandgears.com in Chrome and it goes there...
  18. This begs the question--when did the competition first offer mainstream 6 speeds? In the last 10 years, I think? This decade?
  19. We want details! Pics! This car has had a rough life, hasn't it?
  20. Whoa....you running around a hangar or airport runway??? I used to work w/ a guy who's Explorer got mangled by a plane that crashed into his parking lot. I was always watching out for errant planes when I worked at a company whose lots were adjacent to a busy commercial aviation airport...

Yes, looks more dinosaur than what we think of as primates of 'modern' times. Hmmm..maybe the TV show 'Dinosaurs' wasn't so far off.. .

    Fascinating stuff.
  23. I used the Forteras on mixed slush, heavy snow, occasionally ice in the Denver area for one winter..had extra siping done when they were installed. They worked great...
  24. I haven't had Michelin winter/all season tires, but have had Pilots of a couple cars...loved them. For winter tires, I've been happy with Goodyears, esp. the Fortera triple treads I have on the Jeep now, great in all that winter snow and slush we get in Phoenix..
