One could argue it's positioned against the Malibu, since the BPG dealers are competing against Chevy more than other automakers..

The Orlando is a minivan/MPV, though. And the Equinox is a midsize CUV...Chevy doesn't have a compact CUV in the US, or a minivan or MPV at all.

Even if it is '3+ years' old it will be infinitely better than the all-old cars Buick has now (w/ pushrod V6s, 4spd automatics). Sounds like the Regal will replace the current LaCrosse as the 'smaller' sedan and the '10 LaCrosse will replace the Lucerne as the flagship.

Yeah, the Steelers are a childhood favorite (lived about 30 miles from Pittsburgh as a kid), and having lived in Colorado 11 years, I got into the Broncos, Avs, and Rockies in a big way in the late '90s.

Certain cars look better in dark colors instead of light metallic or white, IMHO. I much prefer dark colors for the most part. On some cars, silver is such a predicable, dull choice--like on any Mercedes or BMW. For example, the CLS looks infinitely hotter IMHO in dark blue, dark maroon, or black than the predicable silver or white (there a lot of white Mercedes in AZ).

Agreed..my skeptical nature and background in math, science and technology make it pretty hard for me to believe in any kind of 'higher power' or theism. I can't really believe in things that can't be proven in a rational, logical manner.

Living in Colorado, I remember the first snow storm of the season every year---that's when the newbies from CA/AZ/TX etc would roll their SUVs into the medians and ditches. Having come from the Midwest, though, I know how to drive in the winter. I worked w/ a guy that moved to Denver from Houston--he and his wife had 2 2WD SUVs..kind of pointless in the winter.

MMMmmmmm...bbq. I love BBQ whether it's Carolina style, Memphis style, Texas style,St. Louis style, whatever. I've found a couple decent places here in AZ, but good q is hard to find in the West, I'm afraid. I still remember as a kid stopping w/ my folks when on a road trip at some little BBQ place in Mt. Airy, NC and another place in Georgia just north of the Florida line on I-95... great food. From '82-88 we did the I-77/I-95 (or I-75 instead) drive from Ohio to S.Florida and back 3-4 times a year for 6 years--either in the Winnebago or a Lincoln..

Hmmm...I can't recall if I've seen one either. The most common colors of 2nd gen models I've seen here are silver, dark gray, and gold. Once in a while a silver blue one, silver green or dark red, but rarely. I would think I would see white ones here, since white seems to be the most common car color in the desert (reflects heat?).

I bought a new set of aggro Goodyears for my Jeep about a year ago, and they were great last winter. This winter so far, though, in Phoenix, I haven't had to put it in 4WD or drive thru snow yet.

Meh...NA$CAR is to motorsport what the WWE is to wrestling, IMHO.....a bunch of shapeless colorful blobs going around in circles, with technology that doesn't remotely resemble production cars or engines..

And during the Smith era, one thing that really hurt them was mediocre product. Far too many square, look-alike generic FWD models (X-,J-,A-,N-, etc) throughout the '80s and into the '90s (when they became rounded, generic FWD models).

I've had a couple Cobalt rentals in the last year and thought they were fine...decent little car. Much nicer than the last Cavalier rental ('03 I think) I drove.

Only 3 SAAB dealers here in the Metro Phoenix area, pretty small for an area w/ over 4 million people. Then again, SAAB has historically had a stronger following in the NE than elsewhere.
