Is This Going on in Your Area?
They use too much road salt in Ohio and other states in the Midwest and the NE, I'm sure that contributes to the problem. (I lived in the Akron and Cleveland area for 6 years, and saw what it did to cars...my Bronco started rusting when I lived there when it was less than 5 years old)>

March 2008 Sales: General Motors

Didn't the Regal start in '73 as the Monte Carlo equivalent coupe?

lexus....prius?
A Lexus Prius would be great...efficiency with a nice interior. For a small car like that to be usable as a commuter car, I'd want a full-lux interior (I hate cheap gray plastic interiors most small, cheap cars have).

Restless
How about an '80s T1000? It's a RWD Pontiac...saw one recently, first I'd seen in years. Be good on gas also.

Craigslist Boston tool
Neat...a '67 Pontiac airport limo.. I've read that back in day, airports used stretched wagons and sedans like that instead of the generic buses they use now for shuttles..

Restless
Speaking of old cars, in a few days I'm going have a couple oldies but goodies to drive, both heavy and smooth, and one a 2dr hardtop. Both built in the last 25 years, but no cupholders, unfortunately...

Heh-heh..I used a similar line w/ a buddy a while back that was raving about the WRX Sti...fast but painfully ugly car, IMHO. Bottom line, no matter how fast the SRT4 is, it's still a Neon...ugh.

the 99 Alero is now gone and I now have a...
Nice. It's too bad they don't offer the hatchbacks here like in the UK...they are the slickest looking of the Civics, IMHO (and have the cool headlight and taillight treatments).

CTS Coupe Convertible
What is the source of this talk about 'Sigma can't do convertibles'? Sounds like BS.

"I said MARCH, young man!"
Speaking of the new Corolla, my TiVo downloaded some advert program titled 'Live The Dream with the All-New Corolla'... I don't think I will..

Geely CE Concept
Nope...I think the Dodge Breeze is going to be based on a Chery (A3?).. Autoblorg had something about it recently.

Probably a bunch of punkass teens and 20 somethings that haven't driven anything more than a Civic or Cavalier...

Slick...I hope they build it.

1992 Pontiac Firebird 'Vert V8 54K only 7.5K!
Clean..it's so rare to see a 3rd gen F-body in original, unrestored condition. Like my beloved Fox 5.0 Mustangs of the same era, they are usually trashed or tastelessly modified now...

Camaro is getting there

My HHR and a honda got into it last night
An old car like that I wouldn't even bother spending money on to fix...take a rubber mallet and beat the hood out so it latches, duct tape the bumper in place..

First Magazine ad for Genesis
I saw the Genesis in person at the Denver Auto Show on Saturday.. it looks ok, nothing really stands out, though...it's got a mix of Infiniti and BMW styling cues..

Todd Lassa: GM and Ford's rear-wheel-drive strategies
The current 5 series has the front of the chassis made of aluminum (the whole front clip is aluminum, I believe)..they've been doing that for several years now.

Todd Lassa: GM and Ford's rear-wheel-drive strategies
Too much sausage in the Germans' diets, I guess... their cars and SUVs are as fat as American ones.. of course, with the volume sales of their trucks and SUVs, obesity is a bigger problem for the Americans for meeting the future CAFE regs..

Are you a BI family?
My parents were always Ford, Lincoln or Mercury (from 1949-present) with a few odd diversions (2 Chevies (56 Bel Air, 81 Chevette), 1 Dodge truck, and a '65 Hino Contessa), plus 2 Dodge powered motorhomes and 2 Chevy powered ones. Over 40+ years,my brother has been primarily always had Fords w/ a Mercury, 4 Chevies ('58 Bel Air, '68 Camaro SS 396, '84 Chevette, '85 S10), a couple Pontiacs ('65 GTO, '75 Trans Am) and 1 '71 Dodge Dart in the mix. My sister has had quite a mix over 30+ years-- a couple Fords ('76 Pinto, '99 Explorer), a Chevy ('90 Corsica), 4 Datsuns/Nissans (280Z, 280ZX, 300ZX, 300ZX TT), a Saab 900 Turbo, a Jeep Liberty, and currently two vintage Benzes. I've currently got a Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2 older Mustangs, but have had 4 other Fords ('84 Escort diesel, '86 Mustang LX, '88 Bronco II, '95 Bronco), a BMW M3, and a Chevy Caprice previously over the last 20 years. Next car will likely be a Cadillac or Ford product.

I haven't found the MBX Caddy yet... I did find today a neat Jada 'For Sale' series 1940 Cadillac Fleetwood 75...has a neat worn patina.
