  1. Well, it hasn't been done this way in the US (3 bucket seats in the front, with the middle set back slightly from the other two). It is a clever design.
  2. One positive about having a lot of GM rental cars, though..rental cars are the only way many people have an opportunity to drive new GMs..
  3. That's pretty cool..bet it would sting to shot with it..
  4. Funny you mention high school doodlings...last time I went back to Ohio to visit my mom, I found a stash of my 'future car' sketches from 20+ years ago that I did in jr. high and high school...my future cars then all kind of looked like GM dustbuster minivans or Priuses (I really was into drawing monospaces). I guess I was inspired by the Chevy concept car at Epcot Center I saw in '82.
  5. Sounds like fun. I'll be at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale on the 19th.
  6. You have to excuse/ignore 68..he was born about 30 years too late...a 'real'car to him is from 1959 (RWD, BOF, V8, AM radio, etc).
  7. It's a great looking, new, RWD V8 model...what's not to like in this world of generic FWD appliances???
  8. i think they are just full of sh*t...haters..
  9. I don't think they've announced pricing except for the SRT8...base will probably similar to Charger base, I would think (under 30k?)
  10. Have you sat in the production interior? I haven't seen any pics of the production interior..
  11. I doubt if this will ever make it here..PCS and his evil minions will prevent it.
  12. Pretty cool, but I'll stick w/ my Mac Book Pro.
  13. That would be useful, kind of fit between the Fit and Civic..
  14. The beginning of the end...GM NA will be dead with a decade? Is that the plan?
  15. Umm, GM's been build appliances for 20+ years...many car enthusiasts long ago moved to Hondas and BMWs...
  16. I like how they went with the '70 style grille instead of the concept car's grille. I like it..nice execution of retromodern design.
  17. Interesting.. I don't think I've ever seen a longbed regular cab of the current HDs..didn't know they still built that combination (the trucks I see are all extended and crew cabs). I imagine the gas mileage would be hideous, though...
  18. Interesting..I've never encountered one of the under the seat batteries..how do you access it--does the seat bottom fold up and there is a closed compartment w/ the battery?
  19. You just have to accept that's it's not 1970...you aren't going to get the wide variety of RWD V8 bodystyles that GM had then..it's a different time, different place.
  20. Yes, there is plenty of good stuff out now and coming....the drama queens on this board are taking things to extremes, I think.
  21. That happened many years ago...look at all the Corolla and Camry buyers (not to mention the millions of FWD generics GM sold in the '80s-90s).
  22. The CTS coupe makes my daily driver decision more difficult...I was thinking of getting a new CTS sedan in the next year or so..now I'm thinking of waiting until June 2010 (if the coupe is available then). Either way, a CTS would be a great turning-40 (June 2010) car for me.. (the Grand Cherokee was my turning-30 purchase).
  23. YEah..I'm looking forward to seeing if they do a convertible version...
  24. Well, a loaded sedan is about $45k, so the coupe will probably top out close to $50k... the base will probably be under $40k, though.
  25. True, he's hopeless...but the CTS coupe will probably be $40k+, so it's not exactly bargain basement..
