About a decade ago, a coworker and friend was going thru a divorce and moved in w/ me for about a month...got along pretty well, but we did argue over the TV (he wanted to watch ESPN 24/7). We have stayed friends over the years, though.

Whether it would be in a Solstice or a Corvette, that 3.6 DI V6 would make a nice engine in sub-3000lb sports car, I think...

Maybe the previous pics were of the hatchback and this is the sedan (assuming the Insignia will have 4dr sedan and 5dr hatchback bodies like the Vectra).. ?

I read a joke years ago about Ireland converting from RHD to LHD...they were going to go for a phased approach--buses then trucks then cars..chaos would ensue. -
Again, though, that source is probably just spewing BS...no one really knows what the C7 is going to be like outside of GM...wait a few years and see..

There is a lot more to performance than simply acceleration..with a sports car, handling is way more important...and less weight is definitely a good thing for handling.

Reading the article, if it could lose 300-400lbs, then 350hp is plenty... going on a diet is a good thing for sports cars..

Cool... as a kid, I geeked out on the original Star Trek in reruns in the '80s..got into ST with the first movie, enjoyed all the TOS-based movies... watched TNG but never really liked it, DSN, or Voyager as much as the original..

Similar around here...Cadillac seems to compete well against other premium brands here in the Denver metro, but for mass-market sedans, Accord and Camry dominate.. -
There was another sci-fi movie from the early '70s that featured C-bodies...Plymouths, I think..I haven't seen the movie in 25 yrs or so, but it was called 'The Stranger' with Glenn Corbett as an astronaut that lands on a parallel Earth...I remember seeing it as a kid and there were several early '70s C-bodies in it, IIRC.

I have more confidence in GM being able to bring something to market than Tesla, though...Tesla is going to down in flames before they ever deliver a single car, it looks like.
