because they've never given it a serious try.

Quick Review: 2012 GMC Sierra Denali HD 2500
I had troubles with low speed maneuverability compared to the Ford also.... but once on the road, the GMC was positively Cadillac like compared to the bouncy Ford.

BMW News: Rumorpile: Next Z4 To Be More Dynamic
I've never liked the Z4. The Z3 was a great looking car.

Cadillac News: How Much For The Cadillac ATS?
Cadillac's dealer network in the EU needs a ground up overhaul..... And by that I'm mean they need to be ground up and started over. Daewoo dealers in the US started out with a stronger dealer network than Cadillac has in the EU. That isn't hyperbole. It would be kinda hard to take Cadillac seriously here, no matter the product, if you had to go to a painted over Exxon (Esso) station to buy one.

Cheers or Jeers: 8,000 Mile 1985 Chevrolet Cavalier
You could probably turbo charge that baby and get it up to 100 hp!
-
Cheers or Jeers: 15,000 Mile 1961 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight
Always seemed like such grandma cars to me. It pains me to "jeers" an Oldsmobile.... so I'll give it a qualified "cheers" on the basis that I would take this over a Pontiac or Buick of the same year.

MAY 2012 CAR SPOTTER'S THREAD!!!
Saw a 60 something Galaxy convertible while I was still in Dallas. He was making *very* good time. Today spotted an eclipse of sorts: an early 80s Ford Country Squire, white with woody paneling running along side a similar vintage Caprice Estate in the same paint scheme. With me following in the Toronado, it was like being transported back to 1984.

Look at that! A suede headliner! It'll be able to take on the E-class now, right SMK?

Chevrolet News:Rumorpile: Chevy’s Upcoming SS Sedan May Give Way to a New Ute and Wagon
Yea, it's not like the former head of Holden is like GMNA's president or anything....or even plays some roll in product planing decisions.

Cheers or Jeers: 1,000 Mile 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood
YES PLEASE!

Chevrolet News:Rumorpile: Chevy’s Upcoming SS Sedan May Give Way to a New Ute and Wagon
Makes sense. Camaro is the only north american zeta production point. Keep in mind that GM is moving towards hyper flexible production lines. Spring Hill is supposed to be able to build any non-BOF vehicle in the portfolio once they are done rebuilding there.

Chevrolet News:Rumorpile: Chevy’s Upcoming SS Sedan May Give Way to a New Ute and Wagon
I'm betting that if production were moved to the US, it would only be production for North American consumption. Australia could continue to supply the South Pacific, Asia, Middle East, and Europe. Like what they did with the Insignia/Regal.... at first the Regal was built in the EU, but then production for North America moved over here and the EU just builds cars for themselves.

Cadillac News: Spying: Cadillac CTS, Now On The Streets
I think it looks too much like an automotive Best Buy to be a Cadillac dealership. Not at all "luxury"

Faceoff! John Deere vs. Ford vs. Case.
I didn't think they still had steam powered tractors anymore!

Subaru News: Rumorpile: Subaru Considering Electric Turbocharging for Next WRX
I'm not sure it would eliminate turbo lag, but it would probably reduce it. It still has momentum to overcome spinning up and down. The faster you want the reaction to be, the more powerful you'd need the electric motor to be. that said: *buys stock in Honeywell.... and Hoover*

Bye Bye Aztek, it's been fun......my new ride is.....
Probably a decent little runabout to pick up gently used for not a lot of money

You'll see less of me for a bit
Starting tomorrow, I'm fully back in the saddle. I head to Dallas-Love Field to head home in a couple hours. I still have 11 more trips between now and July 31st, but most are just overnight runs and all low stress.
