  1. Performance cars have been just as much of an anomaly at Pontiac as well. If you dont believe me, check the Excitement thread.

If I ever become a porn star, my alias will be The Cajun Injector.
  3. How would a 2-deep Pontiac lineup anchor BPG? If you're willing to pare Pontiac down to just the G8 and Solstice, which would at best garner 45,000 sales, why out the effort into it instead of building up the other brands? Buick has its own performance history which GM abandoned for the sake of SS Chevys and "exciting" Pontiacs so an Alpha Buick could sell just the same as an Alpha Pontiac.
  4. So where is the downside of making Pontiac an extreme niche brand and getting rid of the useless crap? Why bother with the G5, G6, Vibe or Torrent? Dump 'em.
  5. Buicks have higher base prices than Pontiacs and smaller rebates, therefore the average Buick is going to sell for more than the average Pontiac and for a higher profit.
  6. How can Buick be the most redundant brand when the G5, G6* and Torrent are literally re-grilled Chevys that overlap in price? The Vibe and G8 are the only cars not sold in the U.S. by another GM brand. Buick may only have 3 offerings, but they're genuinely different from what the rest of GM is selling. *Ok, the G6 is more of a rebadged Saturn than Chevy, but still, its nothing unique.
  7. Using the same page I used to get Pontiac's fleet number at 36%, I get Buick at 14% and GMC at 12.5%. Thats GMC including the Savana. Using YTD numbers from GM's December sales report, Pontiac sold 267,348 vehicles in 2008 while Buick sold 137,197 and GMC sold 376,996, all of which were down about 25% from 2007. Now if we take fleet into account, Pontiac (6 vehicle lineup) had 171,102 retail sales while Buick (3 vehicle lineup) had 117,989 and GMC (6 vehicle lineup) had 376,121. I think your statement is wrong.
  8. I'm going to start buying stock in tinfoil.
  9. And you might want to look up, "Paranoia" and "Delusional Disorder" because you may just learn something about yourself. Just read the link, oh my god thats absolutely ridiculous, probably the most asinine thing I've ever read. I'll be sure to look for undercover agents and silent black helicopters at the farmer's market today.
  10. If you are paranoid, you're not smart enough to logically think through an issue.
  11. What ever happened to Picture-in-Picture?
  12. Brilliant!
  13. Unfortunately
  14. My Solara, I loved that car. Freaking wreck. The rest of the crap I couldn't care less about.
  15. The AL East is going to be a bitch this year. The Yankees, if A-Rod comes back strong and Burnett stays healthy and the bullpen doesn't implode, are going to be in a knock-down, drag-out fight with the Red Sox and Rays. Based on the rosters as they are now: AL East-Rays AL Central-Twins (note:I can see the Royals having a year like the Rays last year, but I doubt they'll go the whole way) AL West-A's AL Wild Card-Angels NL East-Phillies NL Central-Cubs NL West-Dodgers NL Wild Card-Mets
  16. I dont bother honking anymore, the Prius' horn sounds like a Japanese school girl giggling.
  17. It happens every year, baseball starts, I think my Cubs are going to have a great season, I end up getting boned. But this is the year, GO CUBBIES!! I've been getting more into college baseball as well, been to a couple of games so far, its a great atmosphere, even with only a couple hundred people in the stands. Oh, and I hate Joe Morgan with an unyielding passion.

  19. Corolla-8% Matrix-5% Yaris-10% Avalon-26% Camry-9% Tacoma-5% Tundra-6% Those are mid-year 2008 numbers, rounded up to the nearest whole.
  20. This Mizzou-Marquette game has been really good if you're a basketball fan. Really bad if you're a Mizzou fan. Tied with 19 seconds left. EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. HHR is about 35% fleet, with numbers like that, it should be a Pontiac.
  22. It'll probably be another generation before real station wagons make a comeback.
  23. I have something like this in mind.
  24. My curveball still has wicked bite, but my fastball still isn't very fast and doesn't move a whole lot. But its still great to see someone back away from the plate after I throw a pitch that starts off at their head and winds up over the plate...most of the time.
