  1. Great to hear GM putting high effort into sound, or reducing it. They seem to have made an effort on all of their new products. One has to wonder, just how quiet will new Buicks get?
  2. Interesting to note that the Astro/Safari twins as well as the Silhouette/Venture/Montana triplets always where at the top for real life saftey scores. We picked the Cobalt for a reason; Best pick in the compact catagory.
  3. I dissagree on the fleet scene. Our local Chevy Dealer has been sold out of Malibus for a while. Infact, finding a Malibu in Portland (foreign car loving land) is not so easy. GM might do some crazy things, but in general they give dealers the cars they need before selling them to fleet purchase groups.
  4. Solstice, mainly because it's something new for GM and it stands out that most of anything on the list. Besides, every magazine that has gotten a hold of one has fallen in love with it.
  5. Either way the HHR will fade out some. Not all bad as long as they can get a few years of a good run to make money on it. Remember, in the end this is about making money no matter if your toyota, GM, honda or Ford.
  6. I love the interiors of the GMT-900s.
  7. I couldn't agree more. That's why I stopped buying them. The one thing I did consider. I'm guessing very few of us are Consumer Reports subscribers. If you mostly praise foreign cars, your going to get foreign buyers (of your magazine). How could they expect a realistic poll without a broad view?
  8. Amazing Mexico is so close yet when it comes to what Chevy has they are so far.
  9. It is interesting that Chevy has had larger sales jumps than toyota, honda or Ford over the last couple of years and nothings been said. Kinda neat to see Edmunds be the group to bring it up.
  10. The Malibu is a GREAT car for the money. Around here one can get a Malibu for darn near the price of a Cobalt.
  11. I do like how GM is introducing these vehicles only a few months before production instead of a year +. Hopefully this will be their trend from now on.
  12. Ok, not to sound too much like the boring conservative that I am, I hope the relationship has other parts too it besides . . .
  13. Now that we have a Cobalt; the HHR. It give alot of vehicle for the money, plus the payments would stay low like the Cobalt.
  14. The HHR is one GM car that I'm seeing alot of here in Portland. They seem to have a hit in an area that normally doesn't like GM cars.

    Toyota

Well I for one would like to bring up the quality factor here. Malibu and Impala both slam the camry & accord in JD Powers initial and long term report. HMMMM.

    Toyota

    Well put.
  17. If nothing else I'd put money on the Cadillac having less issues and costing less to maintain over 60k miles.
  18. I've said it before and I'll say it again. In 10 years Mercedes as well as BMW will no thave the same respect they have worked so hard to get. They will be thought of us poor quality toyotas.
  19. Great article. Thanks for passing it on.
  20. Having test driven both the 500 and the Impala, I find the; 1. Impala interior to be much nicer than the 500 2. 500 to have a firmer more "European" suspension but not necessarly being nicer to drive (more bumps passed through). I didn't get to take the 500 on the twisty back roads that I took the Impala on, so I won't comment on which one feels better when being thrown around. 3. The 500 to have a cheaper overall feel As probably expected, my money goes on the Impala being the sales champ over the 500. If nothing else, the Impala has the better track record when it comes to quality.
  21. I'm surprised to have seen the PT Cruiser sales numbers go up just as GM has the HHR introduced.
  22. With the new GM SUVs estimated to get the same gas mileage as minivans I suspect GMs SUV will become very popular once again.
  23. That is great to see GM get 2 Cadillacs on the list when there are 0 lexus, infiniti, acura, etc.
  24. I like it. Chevy & GMC seem to have a more distinctive difference now, though still not as much as I hoped for. Where are the interior pictures of the Yukon?
  25. Beautiful vehicle whatever they call or do with it. It would make a great top of the line Saturn model.
