Sky going to Chevrolet?
Let me dream a little: Diesel (could be the 125hp 1.7L Isuzu engine used by Opel), fairly light weight, and priced some 10% to 20% lower than the MINI Cooper D... then I'd be sold on it! EDIT (i.e., back to reality) - www.notgoingtohappen.com

REPORT: Cadillac pinning its hopes on 'sub-CTS' model and new flagship sedan
Hopefully, because if GM wants Cadillac to become some kind of 'Art&Science-Saab' they will fail. Miserably.

Poll: Where will Pontiacs sales go
I'll take a guess: you're remebering when Olds was discontinued, right? The difference is the remaning brands might actually get proper product this time around: look at the Cruze and the LaCrosse, for example. Add a possible Regal and Astra to Buick, and you have Chevy as the bottom brand and Buick as the upscale division, much like what Skoda and VW are here in Europe. Cadillac should (ideally) be in another league entirely going after Audi, BMW and MB, even if they do and Epsilon2-based DT7 (and I really, REALLY hope they don't). Proper product at the remaining brands was what made the Olds phase-out a disaster IMHO.

Hyundai Equus
It's almost scary-looking... But Hyundai/Kia is learning. And they're learning quickly. With Hyundai bacoming sort of Toyota-ish and Kia providing lower priced 'quirky' cars such as the Kia Soul, would they have room for an upscale 'quirky' brand? One that could be financially self-sustaining at around 150K units/year and give Hyundai/Kia engineering expertise?

REPORT: General Motors in "intense" bankruptcy preparations
What if Chevrolet, Buick, Opel/Vauxhall, GMC, Cadillac, Holden, and Daewoo regroup under some new holding company with the name General Motors disappearing? How do you all feel that would appear in the eye of the US consumer?

Looks pretty good, I hope material and assembly quality do justice to the design.

New York: Acura ZDX aimed squarely at BMW X6
Of course! GM is an expert in throwing away good ideas. SAAB had the 9-3X as a part of the 9-3 plan years before the Audi A6 Allroad, but GM didn't give SAAB the go ahead to build it until now...

Reading that I too wonder if that sub-CTS car will be on Alpha, Epsilon2, or Delta2 (w/ or w/o Voltec)...

Hi there you all!
I know, but my mind is forever scarred by the sketch-to-production differences of the 1994 Monte Carlo and the 1st Epsilon1 Malibu...

Poll: Where will Pontiacs sales go
And there's the reason why Pontiac is getting the axe instead of Buick. Buick sales won't magically drop to zero in the US. In fact, with Pontiac and Saturn out of the picture, Buick might have a chance to actually grow.

Poll: Where will Pontiacs sales go
The best chance of Buick surviving depends on Chinese market sales. On another note, and from a thread over at the other GM enthusiast website, it appears the 2010 Astra will be the new Buick Excelle in China.
