Your goal with that fund is something you should be very proud of, and your reasons seem 'deep' enough. And you can surely gain leverage from working on a company such as McKinsey, so... go for it! That's kind of a sucky result for the Aura... even being 'only' a mild Hybrid, and even being significantly cheaper, it will be crossed shopped against cars like the Altima and the Camry based in fuel economy... I don't see many people doing their math to know how many miles they have to drive per year for the mileage advantage of the Camry/Altima to compensate for their higher MSRP.

Interesting: some wanting to enter Management Consulting, and others (that'd be me) dying to get out of it... I'm a Management Consultant in paper only, though. Most of my assignments are strictly Corporate Finance assignments: mergers, acquisitions, valuations (my favourite), business plans / budgeting, monthly reporting, stuff like that. Anyway... I think consulting work for non-profits would be very, very interesting. And it's certainly meaningful work, something to be interested in besides getting a paycheck! Besides that more 'rationalized' side of things, which you have explained very well on your posts, what is driving you (emotionally, if you will) to change?

Like I've written 1,000,000,000 times before, I happen think the all red covers look better than the cheap-tuner-like-covers they use in the Euro-spec STS. The SRX actually looks nice with the darker cover. There's one thing I don't get in EU regs though: in cars like the STS and the Corvette (rear side markers that are not integrated into the rear lights), those rear side markers have to be amber. However in the Saab SportCombi and in several Volvos (rear side marker lights integrated into the rear lights), they're red...

Now that's much better than that crappy Holden you guys will be getting as the Pontiac G8!

It does. Both BLS and BLS wagon have them, they just have a red cover over the lamps/LEDs. The VW Phaeton has its amber LEDs tur signals under a red cover too: clicky.
