Just kidding Camino, I wouldn't EVER ask anyone to part out something like a Hawk. It'd be like someone asking me to give them my left 'nad....I couldn't allow it no matter how handsomely I'd be compensated for it.
-
Good luck on this one Fly, if that doesn't fix it, ducktape it!
-
That was great, I've gotta make it to NAIAS one year.

Furniture polish? Hmmm, I've heard someone using car polish, but I dunno, I'd say either flushing the toilet with one in it (I've heard that from TONS of people saying to works) to using the CD cleaner/repair thing. It might not get all the scratches out, but it might allow to to salvage the songs you like on the first half of the cd.

Truthfully Fly, it was, still had the searchlight on the driver's side A pillar...
-
A part? Wait a minute, we're not asking him to PART out the Hawk....although I COULD use the engine and transmission for a little side project....

Thanks Fly, she's starting to look even cuter without the slight yellow tint that she had.

All right, so I'm cruising around tonight in the truck, blowing off some steam after being at work and leaving from the hospital visiting the little girl and wife in while the little girl cooks for a little while under the lights (she has Jaundice). I'm on the interstate, cruising at about 65, relatively light traffic. A StumpJumper (Ford Crown Victoria with 24" + wheels on it so it now has 2-ft ground clearance) blows past me like I'm sitting still. I decide to follow him to see where the fire is, crank down on the pedal, throw it into 2nd and listen to the quad exhaust pipes thunder (if only I'd finally done the flame thrower kit for the pipes it woulda been a hell of a sight), as I catch up to him I notice a little smoke coming from the right front tire area. I try to flag the guy down, flash my lights at him everything. Nothing happens at all for a moment, then a bright flash of fire and I see a nice, pretty chrome 26 depart from its spindle and lug nut mounting surface and go on walkabout. What happened next wasn't exactly pretty but it could have been worse. The car augers into the pavement and goes for a skid, at least the driver knew how to handle himself because it didn't switch ends and the traffic was light enough so he only took himself out. I jump on the CB (yes, I have one, and I know how to use it, and sometimes its a hell of a lot better to use than a cell phone) and get police and fire officials rolling and pull in behind to render assistance. Thankfully no one's hurt except for pride and maybe some soiled undies. The guy driving the car asks me to help him go get his rim which has rolled about 100, 120 yards past him down the interstate and finally stopped. I start heading that way and get back, by then the cops were there and he was explaining what happened. He heard the bearings starting to roar and figured if he drove the car faster, he'd make it home faster and be able to get the problem fixed.....not exactly smart thinking, but I give him an A for effort and honesty).

That's still one too many steps that had to be taken for them to get their head out of their ass.

I agree with daves, if I weren't poor, I'd buy it from you, and then drive up there to retrieve it.
-
Don't say the dreaded m-van word! No, mine poor virgin ears won't stand to hear it, I'd rather buy a Magnum (actually the wife would too) than one of those...... *runs off holding his ears and screaming*

Hey Dodgefan, that is of the new "car of tomorrow" idea that NASCAR is toying with, it makes ALL of the cars look butt ugly, not just the Dodges.

I admit that the W-body GM cars are getting past long in the tooth, but at the same time, we know what we've got to look forward to, lets put the known issues down for now and look at the good things, like this being a transitional vehicle for what is coming in about two years (I know, two years in the automotive world is like a millenium), besides, what's wrong with getting the absolute most out of the design, even though it is old. That's what GM did with the '73-'87 Chevy pickups (not counting the '73-'91 C/K 30-3500, '73-'91 Suburbans, and '73-'91 Blazers and Jimmys), they got an idea, people liked it (still like it a hell of a lot too, from what I can see), and they ran like the wind with it. That's what they're doing with the W-bodies, they're getting all they can out of them without leaving any of the other brands out from having one (although I do admit that Buick could be the best initial test platform for the Ep II), until the new stuff gets here.

Thanks all. Right now I'm having to deal with her back at the hospital. She's got Jaundice, so they're going to cook her under the lights for the rest of the night and with all hopes, her and mommy will be coming home tomorrow. And I do plan on taking as many videos and pictures as possible so I can embarass the hell out of her when the time comes (just as my mom and dad did to me).

Although I'm not a Gators fan (University of Alabama fan and alumni), I have to admit that Florida came with their "A" game in hand and ready. They definitely played like they wanted it and I respect them for that. The Buckeyes did a good job, but it seemed like they were completely taken out by Ginn's injury (kinda like they relied on him to hold the team together). Anyway, it was a good game, although I got REALLY tired of the Rock 'em, Sock 'em Dodge Truck commercial.

Wow, that's just...wow. some people in this world are more brain damaged than should be allowed. So they issued her a ticket, it took four months to get to you, then it was credited back? And, on top of all that, she has to provide proof (which she never got) that all this happened so that she can recieve her tax refund? Oy, that's bloody rich!

Thanks all. Tonight is the first night at home and I think the little one is still getting adjusted to home. She's cried more than ever since she's been here, but its still a good feeling to watch her look up at me and smile, then burrow her little head back into my shoulder and go back to sleep (she's not diggin' the bed right now, however she's diggin' dad's shoulder). Too bad all my nights are going to be like this for the next two-ish years till she can do the sleep thing on her own.

Cort, C&G wouldn't be the same without you, many cheers and long life ahead!

Well, she doesn't have a really shrill, high-pitched squeal, more just a pure, straight out cry. Anyway, here she is: Anyway, there's the little one.

well boys and girls. i'm sitting here and typing one handed because the other one is holding my little bundle of joy. I've come to a realization, it isn't bad at all to be a dad. we've only been home for a few hours and already I know this is what I've wanted to be. Holding my little one in my arms for a little while, even if she's screaming her lungs out and crying like the devil is a great feeling, I know that one day it'll all end, but right now, I really really love being a dad, seeing those big blue-gray eyes look up at me, I know that this is the right thing and it can't get any more right. Hopefully I'll have a picture or two up of her soon. So, how's about the rest of you dads, whaddaya think?

I can deal with a piercing, as long as it remains tasteful, same with tattoos, I don't want to see you turn your body into a piece of canvas for someone to draw all over, but at the same time, I know that there are people that do that. The wife has her ears pierced, I've got nothing, although I've thought the idea over of getting inked, she has too, but nothing huge, just a simple cross with roses tracing around it vertically for her, something a little different for me, but that's it. Keep it tasteful and I'll stare and drool all day.

biggest problem would the coolant leaking down into the crankcase and washing the oil off the main bearings and rod bearings, but you would have noticed the problem before then if that was the case.
