  1. Yeah, you could always do like caprice said, and gain traction in the process!
  2. Sikorsky HH-53 (known during Vietnam as the Jolly Green)
  3. Well, this is a thing I'd actually like to see. As far as the audio system, have the vehicle readily able to expand the existing audio system (instead of cutting and splicing wires, have a couple of extra, unused speaker circuits that you could just tap into without having to gouge into your existing wiring. Or have the car be readily able to accept aftermarket amplifiers. Anyway, just some ideas since I don't see that happening in the current factory audio setups.
  4. Got a 23 on the first try
  5. HP Pavillion, 2.4Ghz Intel P4 processor, 504MB of RAM, running XP Service Pack 2, HP Pavillion mx75 flatscreen monitor, Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller, Realtek AC97 Audio Controller, basically a stock setup, LexMark Z35 printer, nothing too great as far as a computer, but I'm planning on building my own before too aweful long.
  6. I always call 'em pushrod or OHC engines. Becuase asside from a flathead, they're all OHV engines like balth said. I'm kinda glad that the engine has died. With the exception of the LS engines (or any SBC engine for that matter), the OHC and DOHC engines are doing better (although I still don't like the timing belt driven ones (give me a chain and no interference and I'll be happy), and that's really what the world is going to. I don't see any reason for GM to stop producing the LS-series pushrod V8s, they're too good at what they do.
  7. I'm allergic to Sulfa too and my docs have always given me some kind of eyedrop that's cleared it up in about 4 days. I've had it a lot of times, and like said about, if you wear contacts, toss 'em, because they're covered with the pinkyeye bug and they won't EVER get clean. I've had it a lot of times, normally comes from when I wear my contacts for entirely too long, but that's about it. I'd stay home, keep a warm washcloth over your eyes (helps with the itching) and rest a whole lot, but if you've got meds, take them on time too.
  8. The Great Green Cloud!
  9. 2.11 here
  10. Eating, pooping, squirming, and crying just like a normal baby. I don't PLAN on giving her the Caravan key fob. And she's not going to get the Hemi powered Magnum (that is if we get one at all), she's going to get the truck, that way IF she hits something, she's going to damn well tear IT up.
  11. Well, for the past.....30-ish years all GM full-sizers have had a 2-inch higher ass than their nose. My truck sits that way, personally I like it, but if you're looking to level, two inches should drop the truck level.
  12. The Idle Air Control Valve is located on the throttle body of the 3.1L engine. It helps draw in a little extra air around the throttle plate at idle, and at times when the AC compressor is engaged, and when other things are working, like the alternator charging, etc. The only problem with them is that the EGR valve will normally empty out just ahead of the IAC passageway, this causes carbon deposits to build up in the valve, making it stick open, or closed, depending on how the little chunk of carbon lodged in there. If the carbon deposit sits there long enough, it can cause the little electric motor that actually moves the IAC to burn out, which would require replacement of the valve. To test an IAC valve, you should be able to remove it from the throttle body, stuff the hole as best you can (usually a rag works pretty well), and crank the vehicle. Once cranked, flip the AC on or something like that (better to have an assistant to do this) and watch and see if the IAC will move. If it will, kill the engine and just shoot out the passageway with carb cleaner, if it won't, then you're looking at IAC replacement. If you can, tell me what year your Cavalier is (cause I can't remember correctly) I can look up the price for you from CarQuest, or just jump on AutoZone.com or AdvanceAutoParts.com and check the price. That's about all the help I can provide.
  13. Yeah, that would make sense because by then you could get the ragtop models flowing off the line well and then be able to bring out the SS badges and the 500 horsepower mule.
  14. It maybe a 3.6 and then something else, perhaps a new V6 engine in the works? Although I'm kinda curious about the no two V8s thing. If you only have one V8, then what about the guy who WANTS a V8 Camaro, but DOESN'T want a 500hp Camaro.
  15. You can say that again, like the Caprice that came into day with the broken axle, hit a pothole at 60mph, broke the axle.....
  16. harmonica (since we seem to be sparring back and forth)

  19. .30-06 (since we're on weapons)
  20. Great, so the manufacturers cram tons more technological goodies into the car to make them safer, only to have the feds change the standards to make them all seem like crap. If anything this sounds like a counter-productive idea.
  21. '65 Impala, followed by a '67 GTO, trailed by a '69 Charger.....followed by a '72 Chevelle SS454...musta been a car show somewhere near....damn near followed them and joined their little convoy.
  22. girl in my high school was named Erica Chuntley...I always got a giggle outta her name.
  23. Spear
  24. I LIKE it. I really LIKE it. I do think that it would look better in a different color, but it looks good so far. I'm diggin it.
  25. International 4700
