  1. Friedman is a "flat-earth" asshole. If TNYT ever wants to fix their reputation they need to get rid of him next.
  2. Cause no other president has ever had an armored Caddy. Faux Noise should just own up up to what they are.

  4. Before defending this ass, learn the whole story - She did not fire the jackass ex-brother-in-law, she fired the guy that she was pressuring to fire the ex-brother in law - an obvious abuse of power. That is substantial. McCain - Palin 08 - Ignorance is Bliss

    Halloween

How about a urinal made of ceiling tiles. Me in my senior year of college. I was Fidel's private pisser for the night. This year I'm Leatherface:
  6. My father brought over some newspapers that they saved from summer 1969 when we landed on the moon (hate to break it to you conspiracy nuts, but the United States did really land there). I though that everyone would get a kick out of some of the ads and prices on cars back then. Get your time machine ready because we could make huge $$ with these: They're having a hard time getting rid of this 69 GTO... I don't know $2995 seems a little expensive for a stick... I've got the fever for a 69 Dodge: There are a few 442's and a couple of other Olds you guys may be interested in: A 54 Corvette, garage kept for $950? Can you do $800? I'll take the '68 Impala. Remind me how to dial CH 7-5168 again? When I get a chance to scan more in, I will.
  7. It looks small to me, like the Buick version of the Chevy Cruze. Even the headlights and hood look the same. Are we sure this is the Epsilon II car? I just keep hoping that this is not the "game-changing" Buick that BL promised. I'll grab my 2011 Camaro SS convertible and say B-Bye to any hope of GM surviving.
  8. I've just been doing some chronicling of pictures from around town (Spotswood, NJ). "Spotteswoode" has been around since 1685 named after the Scottish town the original settler had been from. There is some history here from the Revolutionary War period (see some pics in my Flikr stream - http://www.flickr.com/photos/avant1963/) and I started doing some work on the very old grave stones located at one of the oldest churches in NJ. Spotswood is a small town (only about a square mile or so). It used to be a summer vacation spot when people would swim in the DeVoe lake and "get healthy" at the Physical Culture City - one of those turn of the century "wellness" centers (wellness = colonics... watch "The Road to Wellville" and you'll know what kind of place this was). There are still some very classic old buildings in the town, and as I gather more pics, I'll add them to Flikr. There are some classic cars in the area. There seems to be some car guys around.
  9. Ahh, the California Camaro IROC (red car, top picture). I loved that car, along with the Banshee and purple Corvette concepts from that time.
  10. "'59? I thought you said '69'!"
  11. Welcome to the G6 family. Love the color.
  12. My first girlfriend in HS asked me why Hawaii is so warm and Alaska so cold when they are both just floating under California so close to each other.
  13. I'm done arguing with someone who pushes "NewsMax" or "Weekly Standard" as a "liberal" source. Both are self professed "conservative" sources. You have no idea what you are talking about. And it shows.
  14. Yeah. It's the Democrats. Weakly in power for 1 year and they have everything to do with it. Pelosi and Reed don't have a backbone right now to stand up for anything. And the Republicans have filibustered EVERY f@#kING BILL that might help. Two years ago if the Democrats DARED to filibuster anything, it was "unamerican" and "treasonist" and "subverting justice". Jackass. Read up on the Gingrich Revolution and his Contract on America (oh, I mean "for" America) and tell me who has REALLY been in power since 1995. Oil is finite. Time to move on. A few hundred million barrels in Alaska will not change that fact. China and India will burn through that in a matter of a year. I can't stand the bull$h! talk around here anymore. Guess what? $h! has changed. The world has changed. Evolve or die. Oh wait, you all are probably blaming all this on rational, godless heathens too, so you sure as hell don't believe in evolution. Goodnight and goodluck.
  15. Oil is high because of Wall St speculators, not because OPEC isn't pumping enough dead dinosaurs out of the ground. Maybe we should sue white guys in expensive suits. Nah, let's privatize Social Security instead and give then control over that too. There's no way that could go wrong.
  16. I've always fought for saving all the GM brands, but now I really believe there is no way for GM to survive without letting them die. And these will be slow, agonizing deaths since there is no way in economic hell that GM could shut the brands down. They will just starve them to death. Once Pontiac Buick and GMC is fully integrated (hell, the dealership I bought my G6 at is a Pontiac-Buick-GMC-HUMMER-SAAB dealer, not too far from squeezing them all in), Pontiac will be able to drop to about 3 cars, Buick 3 cars, and GMC 4 trucks. Then drop the numbers even more each year until there is nothing left. I know this is unpopular, but the GM that will survive in the 2010's needs to be Chevy as a stand-alone all encompassing line, then Cadillac, HUMMER, SAAB as the upper dealer (Caddy RWD Lux, HUMMER truck Lux, Saab 4-banger turbo FWD/AWD lux). And that's it. As much as I hate to say it, I can no longer see it any other way in the environment we have now in this country.
  17. Lincoln MKS. Maroon in NJ with Mich Manu plates. Looks good in the real world.
  18. I like my 06 MAXX SS. Yeah the interior isn't snazzy, but the 3.9 has some balls about it. And the MAXX hatch is very useful. There are only two bolts that hold on the headlights, so it is super-easy. The only thing that took a few minutes was taking a metal clip that does not come with the new headlights and transferring them over. It's a clip on the wiring terminal that keeps the wires from moving. It took about 20 minutes from start to finish and that was with cleaning behind the lights when they were out.
  19. We have always been at war with Eastasia. English major - heavy reader (Mark Twain is one of my favorite for social commentary). Right now I am heavy into American History, so I am reading books about the founding fathers and the Revolution and Constitution (because in these times, so many people love to distort history about the founding of the country and the men involved). I just read 1984 again late last year and it as someone has said, Orwell was psychic. Cheney has 1984 is his breast pocket as a "How to" guide. Kurt Vonnegut's work is also very good and "psychic".
  20. Ebay - from a company called revotec - There are actually two companies selling the same lights on Ebay. I pick this one because with shipping included it was the cheapest by a couple of bucks (came to $177). Here's a link to a current listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-05-06-07...sspagenameZWDVW
  21. For the 3.5 - 24 mpg all the time - mostly local, some highway. On a trip from central NJ to Washington DC, the 3.5 did it on one tank of gas and the computer said I was averaging 34 mpg the whole trip, mostly at a steady 70-75 mph. For a 219 hp V-6, I can't complain about that "old" engine. I don't know about the 4-banger or 3.6 though. The 3.9 gets about 18 in VERY HEAVY traffic (25 mile trip to work takes me an hour +). Highway I've seen it up to 25 mpg, but I haven't taken it on a long trip like the 3.5.
  22. I updated the original post with all our answers. Only a few left...
